Games Acquired 2021
Re: Games Acquired 2021
Some great pick-ups lately!
Syndicate, that's awesome you came across Steel Empire. I also finally picked it up after seeing it at a store a few years ago and passing on it for Shinobi III that day.
PH, I'm curious to hear your thoughts on Sly Cooper. I don't know much about the game but have heard good things.
Elkin, that Ratchet and Clank game is one of the few PS5 titles I'm interested in. Look forward to your review of the game, whenever it is!
VG_Addict, nice score on the Secret of Mana. That's one of my favorite RPGs on the console.

2021 Pick-ups:
44. Steel Empire (GEN)
45. Batman: The Video Game (GEN)
46. Virtua Cop (SAT)
47. Virtua Cop 2 (SAT)
Very late, but wanted to share my pick-ups for September! I've been on a Sega kick the past few months.
As mentioned in my previous post, I finally found a copy of Steel Empire. I passed on a CIB copy in the fall of 2019 while visiting a game store in Albany, but Shinobi III was calling me that day. I kinda regretted not purchasing it, but was glad to come across another copy. I managed to beat the game recently and really enjoy the art style, gameplay, and soundtrack.
Batman: The Video Game is another Genesis title that's eluded me for quite a while. I've wanted to pick this game up for years but could never seem to find it in decent shape. Every copy I came across was missing something or in pretty rough condition. Awesome to finally find this one. I haven't been able to finish it yet, but I really like the mix of action platforming levels and side scrolling shooter levels. Also, Sunsoft did an amazing job on the OST.
The Virtua Cop games I played at a friend's house back in the day, as I didn't have my own Saturn at the time of release. But I'm a huge fan of light gun games, and after playing through the the first two Time Crisis titles a ridiculous amount of times, it's nice to have a few others to choose from. Both games are a lot of fun, but the second one is particularly impressive with the improved graphics and branching paths. It turns out my partner also grew up with the game on her PC, so I'll have to pick up a second Saturn Stunner for some co-op!

Lol it'll be a while as I've been told I'm not allowed to play it until my roommate beats it, and he's slow moving since he's playing it for his Twitch stream. I'm hoping to get to it before Christmas though!

Some good finds in a thrift store today, even though they didn't have any costumes in a discount
