@opa: nothing is as good as house of the dead 2/3 but gunblade is definitely a game I'm looking forward to playing, the wii is the only way I have to play light gun games but luckily the wii has a ton, and I would argue that the wii has the strongest library of light gun shooters than any other console by a pretty huge margin

Discovered a retro game store about 30 minutes from my job so I checked it out, pretty good selection of games, I picked up:

Xbox:

Land of the dead ($20, an absolute steal at that price)
Drake of the 99 dragons (this is supposed to be one of the worst games ever made, it was $4 so worth buying to see how bad it really is)
Dead Mans Hand
Spikeout: battle street

Xbox 360

Armored Core V
Dynasty Warriors 7

PS3:

Uncharted
Killzone 2

Wii:

Klonoa
Arcade shooting gallery
Brother in arms double time
Ocean Commander
Spider-man 3
tak and the guardians of gross

May:
De Blob 2 Switch - £10.95

Not a huge expenditure for May (June is gonna sting though ). I only bought one game, which was being sold at a pretty great price so why not. I enjoyed the first De Blob on Wii alright back in the day, and I remember the soundtrack being great, so why not give the sequel a go at that low a price on Switch?

Kinda cool that they're all sealed though. Happy to get 999 with the original art.

I added Super Monkey Ball 2 for the Nintendo GameCube this afternoon!

A few years ago, I played through the original Super Monkey Ball and I really enjoyed my time with it. The game was a very unique experience and I wanted to try more of it. It was a short experience, but it was still very enjoyable.

I was interested in continuing the series and I wanted to see how far it would go. Plus, knowing there were more mini-games is also another idea that intrigues me.

I took a short break from bankrupting myself on Switch eShop games to bankrupt myself on Super Famicom games, and FedEx recently dropped off the following Super Famicom games at my front door:

Go! Go! Ackman
Jyutei Senki
Mickey’s Great Adventure in Tokyo Disneyland
Pop’n Twinbee
Pop’n Twinbee Rainbow Bell Adventure
Super Bomberman 5

Pop’n Twinbee is the only one without a fan translation, but since it’s a shmup, a translation’s not all that necessary.

EDIT: There is no fan translation for Mickey’s Great Adventure in Tokyo Disneyland.

Both Twinbee games were released in Europe, so if you're patching them to play you could patch in the PAL roms for English

Sweet! I’ve already applied a fan patch to Rainbow Bell Adventures, but I’ll have to look into patching the PAL translation of Pop’n Twinbee into my JPN ROM. I’d like to do that for a few other games, too; so, it will be good to know how that works.
