As usual December was a big month - my birthday is the 24th and Christmas is the 25th, and we have a lot of people together who are very generous when it comes to presents. The big one this year was the PSVR, which my wife got me. All of the paid games I bought to try out on the system. Tetris and Superhot were both pricier but I had some Amazon credit I won at work so I used it on them.

Gonna take me a long time to get through this lot!

Markies' Games Acquired List Of 2020!

1. Fable: The Lost Chapters (XBOX)
2. Secret of Mana 2 (SNES)
3. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest (GCN)

I added Fable: The Lost Chapters for the Microsoft XBOX, Secret of Mana 2 for the Super Nintendo and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Master Quest for the Nintendo Gamecube this evening!

On Saturday, I attended Missouri Game Con Jr. It took place at a Veteran's Hall and had about 40 vendors. I would say 30 of them were just local people while about 10 of them were small business around the area. It was also an event for charity as you could bring in animal items or can food to get a discounted ticket. Overall, it was a big success as they brought in a ton of food and made a good amount of money.

Like other Conventions, I went in with a list and a plan. And like most conventions, I ran into a game almost right away. Maybe about 10 minutes in, I found a sealed copy of Fable: The Lost Chapters. That was the game for my XBOX, so it was easy for me to give up $10 for it.

And then that was it. I toured the entire convention for another hour and I could not find another game on my list. I talked to some of the vendors and some of my games had already been sold earlier that day. We had arrived rather late, so we were looking through the games that fell through the cracks. But, I was deciding at the end if I should walk out with one game or if I should buy something else, something off my list.

And like a good gamer, I decided to buy more. :mrgreen:

A guy was selling a bunch of Repros that was mostly cartridge versions of Rom Hacks. However, he had Secret of Mana 2 sitting there for $25. This was a game I desperately wanted and that is cheaper than what I would buy from my normal Repro online store, so I had to bite.

And near the very end, I was talking to this couple that had just moved down from Minnesota when I saw a copy of Master Quest just sitting there. I had beaten the Zelda Collection, so this was my next step in my Zelda GameCube journey. It was only $25 as well and that is the cheapest I had ever seen, so I couldn't pass that one up either. Plus, they were a nice couple that were looking to make some money.

Overall, it was a really great time. It felt like a really good Swap Meet, but just for video games. It didn't have everything you could ever want, but it had enough to make it worthwhile. I really hope they do this every year as it was a great experience.

Got these imports today. Sindbad Mystery is an old SG-1000 title, an arcade port by Sega. It was released in Japan and Europe, so it's perfect for this month's Together Retro.

The same eBay seller also had the 3x3 Eyes PC Engine CD game, so I scooped that up as well. You may be wondering why the box is so big....
