Games Acquired 2019

Post by ElkinFencer10 »

Howdy folks, and welcome to the Games Acquired 2019 thread where we share our latest gaming acquisitions! As the resident bad-financial-decision-maker of the forums, I figured it was appropriate that I start the thread this year as I did last year. Feel free to share as little or as much as you want in any format you want (within reason). Below are links to previous years' threads if you need an example.

Using the format from last year (with added totals and monetary information), and though usually I'll just update every month than every single time I buy a game for brevity's sake. I'll make an exception here, because I'm not sure I'll have any money left to buy anything later in the month, due to other more serious expenditures coming up.

New

    Null

Bonus List Digital Purchases

    Null

Retro

Metropolis Street Racer (UK) - DC - $21

New: 0 - $0
Retro: 1 - $21

Total: 1 - $21

Notes:
Just like last year, for the purposes of this list every game released more than 5 years ago is listed under 'retro'. The monetary value is listed in dollars and rounded up when possible for simplicity's sake. And again, most games will be listed when bought online and not when they're actually in my hands due to the nature of shipping.

Those in italics are digital games; those in standard font are physical. Anything crossed out has since been sold and is out of my collection, but I'm keeping those counted towards the YTD count since I did acquire them this year.

Acquired Year-to-Date: 1 Game; 1 physical, 0 digital

January (1 Game Acquired; 1 physical, 0 digital)
Octopath Traveler (Switch)

I had totally forgotten that the NEW 3DS had SNES games on its eShop, so I booted up my Japanese NEW 3DS to see what they had for Super Famicom games. Mostly nothing too impressive as far as Japanese-exclusive games go, but they DID have Goemon 3 and Live A Live. I've been meaning to try out the Square games we never got here for some time now, so I put down the 9 bucks and picked up Live A Live. I may pick up Goemon 3 or another game or two on there someday, but I just wanted to get Live A Live before I forgot that SFC games exist on that platform (yet again)
