Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is done. Utterly fantastic game!

I'm going to take a slight break for a bit to cleanse my palette after such a long and involving game. However, I plan to tackle Phantasy Star III sometime this summer!

I'm thinking about starting a new PSN account, effectively eliminating the backlog on my current one, and trying to complete and possibly even platinum everything I play on this new one going forward

Tired of staring at an endless list of incomplete games on my account, and sometimes in life it's fun to do a reset for certain things and start over from scratch. Gets rid of old baggage so you can start fresh

As of right now, that list is as follows:
1. Starlink: Battle for Atlas (Switch)
2. Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch)[b] - In progress
3. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)
4. Pokémon Let's Go Eevee (Switch)
5. The Longest 5 Minutes (Switch)
6. Kirby Star Allies (Switch)
7. Musynx (Switch)
8. Mega Man 11 (Switch)
9. WarioWare Gold (3DS)
10. 428 Shibuya Scramble (PS4)
11. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PS4)
12. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4)
13. Final Fantasy XV (PS4)
14. Yakuza 0 (PS4)
15. Klonoa (Wii)
16. A Shadow's Tale (Wii)
17. Pandora's Tower (Wii)
18. Gremlins 2 (NES)
[b]19. Mole Mania (GB)
- In progress
20. Bomberman Quest (GBC)
21. Looney Tunes Collector: Martian Alert! (GBC)
22. Looney Tunes Collector: Martian Revenge! (GBC)
23. Sega Mega Drive Classics (Switch) - 33/51

Most of this month I was busy getting married and going on my honeymoon, so slow progress. However, I have started up a few games since I got back - I played through Klonoa on Wii (which was excellent) and Looney Tunes Martian Alert on GBC (which was a lot better than you might expect) and I'm about halfway through Fire Emblem Warriors on Switch and Mole Mania. The latter is pretty tough though! Hopefully in June I'll finish both and start on a few other games, but the Summer Challenge and my Together Retro might slow that down!

2. Beat every game I received as gifts in 2017 and haven't yet beaten.

As of now, this list is as follows:
1. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Switch)
2. The Last Guardian (PS4)
3. Gravity Rush 2 (PS4)

No progress on this one yet!

3. Replay some games I've purchased in physical format after originally playing digitally, if I haven't played them since buying them.

Not got to any of these yet

Buying games:

1. Focus gaming purchases on my big name wants list, rather than buying stuff just because it's cheap

Sort of on track here.

2. Buy less games than I beat in 2019.

Maybe about breaking even

Mods & upgrades:

1. Get my PC Engine Duo R modded for RGB output

Nope

2. Learn some electronics & soldering so I can start attempting my own mods.

I bought a book on electronics, but I've yet to find time to actually start on this...

Phantasy Star III is now beaten!

I think I will be tackling over the July 4th weekend. That will be my longest summer vacation of the year because of all the moving craziness going on at the moment.

A little progress here, but momentum has stalled during the summer challenge. After August, it'll be time to get back into the Mega Drive Classics collection!

Not really been buying any big wants to be honest, so maybe not succeeding here right now.

Unfortunately, I did not beat Contra without dying this summer and I kind of gave up on that resolution. So, that will remind unfinished for this year.

However, I did beat Jet Moto today, so I was able to cross another one off the list.

All I am worried about is keeping a positive score by the end of the year. I still have so many new games to add, so I just have to keep beating more games to balance it out.

Oh wow, it's been a while since I updated this. Only 2 months to go!

Beating games:

1. Beat every game I received as gifts in 2018.
As of right now, that list is as follows:
1. Starlink: Battle for Atlas (Switch)
2. Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch)
3. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)
4. Pokémon Let's Go Eevee (Switch)
5. The Longest 5 Minutes (Switch)
6. Kirby Star Allies (Switch)
7. Musynx (Switch)
8. Mega Man 11 (Switch)
9. WarioWare Gold (3DS)
10. 428 Shibuya Scramble (PS4)
11. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PS4)
12. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4)
13. Final Fantasy XV (PS4)
14. Yakuza 0 (PS4)
15. Klonoa (Wii)
16. A Shadow's Tale (Wii) - In progress
17. Pandora's Tower (Wii)
18. Gremlins 2 (NES)
19. Mole Mania (GB) - In progress
20. Bomberman Quest (GBC)
21. Looney Tunes Collector: Martian Alert! (GBC)
22. Looney Tunes Collector: Martian Revenge! (GBC)
23. Sega Mega Drive Classics (Switch) - 51/51

On the one hand, I doubt I'm going to get through all of the rest of these by Christmas. On the other hand, I did clear the Sega Collection - all 51 titles, which means I've made a real dent in the list!

2. Beat every game I received as gifts in 2017 and haven't yet beaten.

As of now, this list is as follows:
1. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Switch)
2. The Last Guardian (PS4)
3. Gravity Rush 2 (PS4)

Nope  !

3. Replay some games I've purchased in physical format after originally playing digitally, if I haven't played them since buying them.

I've replayed a few, mostly as part of the Sega Collection, but not as many as I'd have liked.

Buying games:

1. Focus gaming purchases on my big name wants list, rather than buying stuff just because it's cheap

I haven't been buying a huge amount of games this year in general to be honest, so this is mostly not applicable. Most of what I've picked up has been Limited Run stuff or stuff from when I was in Japan.

2. Buy less games than I beat in 2019.

I'm good on this one I think.

Mods & upgrades:

1. Get my PC Engine Duo R modded for RGB output

Nope

2. Learn some electronics & soldering so I can start attempting my own mods.

I bought a book on electronics, but I've yet to find time to actually start on this...[/quote]

Eek, good luck with this one. I found it to be a bit on the rough side. Was hoping for something kind of like Ico or Limbo, but ended up getting 20% of a game that got copypastad for the rest of the 80% of it.

#1 (for the third year in a row) - MAKE PROGRESS ON MY GAMING RELATED CREDIT CARD DEBT. Seriously I just need to stop fucking buying shit.
I MADE GOOD PROGRESS ON THIS! I still have a long way to go, but I've made serious progress this year.

#2 - Play through at least 6 Ys games
Nope. Didn't do it. I suck. Only played through one or two.

#3 - Play through at least 6 Army Men Games
I also sucked here. I think I only played through one if even?

#4 - Finish Fatal Frame series
I STILL SUCK

#5 - Finish Fire Emblem series
I made some progress here! I played through four of the six I had left, but I still have to play Genealogy of the Holy War and Thracia 776, so I haven't completed this one yet.

November update - 1 month left and to be honest, I've mostly given up on these now

Beating games:

1. Beat every game I received as gifts in 2018.
As of right now, that list is as follows:
1. Starlink: Battle for Atlas (Switch)
2. Fire Emblem Warriors (Switch)
3. Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)

6. Kirby Star Allies (Switch)
7. Musynx (Switch)
8. Mega Man 11 (Switch)
9. WarioWare Gold (3DS)
10. 428 Shibuya Scramble (PS4)
11. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PS4)
12. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4)
13. Final Fantasy XV (PS4)
14. Yakuza 0 (PS4)
15. Klonoa (Wii)
16. A Shadow's Tale (Wii) - In progress

21. Looney Tunes Collector: Martian Alert! (GBC)
22. Looney Tunes Collector: Martian Revenge! (GBC)
23. Sega Mega Drive Classics (Switch) - 51/51

I have no real plans to beat any of the remaining games. I did pretty good overall though

2. Beat every game I received as gifts in 2017 and haven't yet beaten.

As of now, this list is as follows:
1. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Switch)
2. The Last Guardian (PS4)

Nope, not really

2. Buy less games than I beat in 2019.

I'm good on this one I think. I've beaten almost 100 games this year so far, and I definitely havent bought that many.

Mods & upgrades:

1. Get my PC Engine Duo R modded for RGB output

Nope

2. Learn some electronics & soldering so I can start attempting my own mods.
