I got it for $24. I would have been happy with it at $30 but that's as a fan of the series. It depends on what you want out of it I guess.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will wait and see if they ever put it on a bigger sale. I have too many games on my wishlist already that I plan to buy and are cheaper than Mega Man 11.

TLDR: I like Mega Man 11.

Long version: The trailers didn't enthuse me, but when I downloaded the demo I decided to buy it on day one.

Dislikes:
-the music is "blah" by Mega Man standards
-some stages are better than others (Volt Man and Bounce Man's aren't as great as those of Brick Man and Acid Man IMO)
-I don't like achievements (You did a thing! Have a trophy.)

Likes:
-It got a physical release.
-It's a quality 2D platformer in 2018 (I couldn't get enough of Freedom Planet, Shovel Knight, and Sonic Mania.)
-The double gear system is optional (I can hone my skills until I'm good enough to do a playthrough without it.)

Can't really think of a Mega Man with better boss fights, to be honest. MM11's killed it.

The core game is excellent, but it's really bare bones. You get the main campaign, four difficulties for mild replay value, a few time attack challenges, and that's it.

As others commented, where are Protoman and Bass? Adding them in would've easily increased replayability and value.

Capcom will come back to this and say that Mega Man doesn't sell and that's why they don't make games in the series anymore, but it's a tough pill to swallow to get a game, play it for 4 hours and have no good reason to go back to it. Well, if you're not a speedrunner at least.

These days I get kind of nostalgic about shit like Tekken 3, that came with a bunch of content packed in the disc back in the 90s. There was the main game, a trillion characters to unlock, the Tekken Force beat-'em-up, the volleyball mode.

Imagine how cool it would be if Mega Man 11 had stuff like Mega Man Powered Up, where you could play the stages as the bosses. Or regular campaigns with Bass and Zero, with slight or deep modifications to the stages (much like Shovel Knight does). They could pack in a Mega Man Power Fighters mode, and a Mega Man Soccer mode. I mean, just try harder to make the game appealing and cater to your damn fans.

They don't even consider that for DLC, for God's sake.

Yeah, if it were more like Powered Up in that regard I wouldn't hesitate to call it one of the best Mega Man games. As it is, it's another Mega Man game, which is good, but it could have been more. I still hope they were just holding back for a sequel. I can't imagine it was difficult for them to make money on this one.
