Polymega news!

https://techcrunch.com/2018/06/13/playm ... to-market/

-$250 for the base console. Unclear if that includes a module or not.
-Modules will be $60
-Preorders to happen in the next 3 months
-Shipping systems before the end of the year

A bit more expensive than I would have liked. I still need to see some videos of it in action and maybe some hands on accounts before I am completely sold.

So when they said it would cost “significantly less than the Switch”, that apparently meant $50. Smh

Not quite what you wanted, but it's an underwater RPG.

I'll be the first to admit that they haven't delivered on several promises but I don't recall them using the word "significantly".

A 17% reduction isn't significant?

We haven't announced the base cost of the system yet, but the basic package you can back on Kickstarter, which includes the base unit, one selectable module and a Bluetooth controller will cost significantly less than a base Nintendo Switch. For the people who are speculating $300, it won't be nearly that much.

I think it’s at least $50 too expensive personally, but more importantly, it is just silly to set expectations like that. I’m not upset because I don’t have any plans to buy it anyway, but when someone tells me something will be significantly less than $300, I expect it to be less than $250. I don’t consider $50 that significant.

I guess that’s a matter of opinion but not at all to me. If a game is on sale for $50 do you consider that a significant discount? I don’t.

$250 is a bit pricey for my taste, personally, but depending on features and such, I may still pick one up. Probably not at launch, though.
