I haven’t picked up many physical games this year, but I have grabbed a few:

Hamtaro: Ham Hams Unite (GBC)
Choplifter III (GG)
Super Battletank (GG)
Winter Challenge (GEN)
Konductra (NDS)
Life Signs: Surgical Unit (NDS)
Might & Magic (NES)

Might & Magic was a pretty cool find, since I had never seen a copy in the wild. Life Signs is apparently more Phoenix Wright than Trauma Center, and I had never heard of it until I found a copy in a thrift store. Finally, I am actually getting pretty close on wrapping up my Game Gear Collection, and I may finish it up this year!

I played through Hamtaro: Ham-Hams Unite last year and enjoyed it quite a bit. I've been meaning to pick up the GBA sequel.

Nice. I've been trying to track this one down myself. It's anathema to many, but I rather enjoy playing the console versions of old WRPGs. Surely you already own Swords and Serpents? That one's a bit off an oddity, as it was developed specifically for the NES. It lacks a Famicom release, as well.

Of course! (I am actually pretty close to owning every RPG released for the NES now. I may try to finish up that aspect of my collection this year.)

Swords & Serpents started on second generation systems, right? Other than an upgrade to graphics and sound, do you know the extent to which the gameplay changed between generations? I have not really researched this.

EDIT: Nevermind! The NES game has no connection to the INTV game.

Intellivision = Swords & Serpents
NES = Swords and Serpents

Two different games. Fun fact: the Intellivision game is technically unbeatable, as they ran out of space on the cart there's no way to defeat the final boss.

Every NES RPG sound a bit daunting. I have maybe half of them? I've mostly turned my attention to the Famicom now.

I bit on Worms WMD (Switch) since it’s on sale for a few bucks off. So far I’m enjoying it, but the controls for some reason are really unintuitive for me. I really want the A and Y button to be swapped.

I haven't got the Switch version, but I love it on the PS4. It's the best Worms game I've played since Armageddon, which probably doesn't say a lot, but it's still an amazing game.
