So, the guy who usually does these kind of threads (darsparx) hasn't visited since the summer and I have been enjoying/thinking about this thread for the past couple of days. So, in his absence, it is time to make our Gaming Goals and Resolutions for the year of 2018! Let's make 2018 our best year of gaming ever!!
My main goal of 2018 is to get my Unfinished Count under 50. I am currently sitting at 73 Unfinished Games. The past two years, I have made progress of somewhere in the 20s. So, as long as I make progress of over 24, then I should make my goal. I don't think I'll reach it until the end of the year, but it is a good long term goal.
With that in mind, I also like to make console specific goals. So, I will have about 10 goals to achieve for each year. I have had some in mind and it is time to finalize them.
2018 Gaming Goals and Resolution
Main Goal = Get My Unfinished Count Under 60
NES = Beat Dragon Warrior IV
GEN = Beat Mega Man: The Wily Wars
SNES = Beat Secret of Evermore
N64 = Beat Bomberman Hero
SDC = Beat Grandia II
PS1 = Do a One Sitting Speedrun of Suikoden
PS2 = Beat Test Drive: Eve of Destruction
GCN = Complete Pikmin
XBOX = Beat Shattered Union
So, most of my goals are just beating regular games. I need to get back on the Dragon Warrior wagon after taking almost two years off. Mega Man and Evermore are super high on my list. Bomberman should be easy with my change of actually playing games. I beat Grandia II on the PS2, but I want to play the DC Version. And Test Drive & Shattered Union are for friends of mine.
Pikmin is for my replay game of the year. I beat it recently, but I want to get the endings and do the Challenge Mode.
And Suikoden will be my Master Run. I hope to sit down and beat Suikoden in one sitting and try to do it as quickly as I can. I've beaten it before and I really want to replay it. I've heard its only like a 25 hour game, so it seems doable. LONG, but doable.
So, those are my Goals and Resolutions. Write them down here and see if you can actually accomplish them in the following year.
Happy Gaming in 2018!
