You're right, I got that twisted a bit. Thanks for correcting me on that. As for New Mystery of the Emblem, I haven't played it, so I didn't realize it was only Book 2 (although that makes WAY more sense than releasing both AND Shadow Dragon).

I lucked out and found a copy of Thracia 776 for $109 a few months ago (albeit cart only).

Yeah, I'm just going to get the cart only Thracia too. Need to find the proper SNES cartridge though - most of them out there seem to be SF Memory.

Which Fire Emblems have you played so far? I've got tonms to catch up on. I've beaten:

Fire Emblem: Dark Dragon and the Blade of Light (FE1)
Fire Emblem (7)
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
Fire Emblem Awakening

I've played but not finished both Sacred Stones and Fuuin No Tsurugi (FE6) as well.

I've finished:

Dark Dragon and the Blade of Light
Mystery of the Emblem
Blazing Blade (7)
Sacred Stones
Path of Radiance
Radiant Dawn
Shadow Dragon
Awakening
Fates - Birthright
Fates - Conquest
Fates - Revelations
Heroes (what's been released so far)

I've dabbled a little bit with Genealogy of the Holy War back when I first got it, but I haven't put much time into it and need to start over.

I've made it through:

Genealogy
Blazing Blade
Sacred Stones
Path of Radiance
Radiant Dawn
Shadow Dragon
The DS sequel with the longass name
Awakening
All three chapters of Fates

I've done a few battles in Gaidin and I have a cart of Sword of Seals that I've done a single battle of.

Wow Bad Dudes, now that brings back some nostalgia. I remember beating this game with my cousin circa 1990 on NES. It had some decent ads too:

Bad Dudes was my favorite arcade game as a kid, and the NES port was a day-one purchase from me. I loved it then, and I love it now.

I have a mag with that second ad on the back cover. It was a good ad for sure.

Unfortunately, I'm not a huge fan of Bad Dudes, at least in comparison to Double Dragon. :( It also suffers from the same problem as that game: most of the ports were just... err... bad.

January:
1) The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition (PC) (8.5) (1/1) (~5.5 hours)
2) ActRaiser (SNES) (8.0) (1/2) (~4 hours)
3) Bonk's Revenge (GB) (6.0) (1/3) (~1 hour)
4) Tiny Toon Adventures: Babs' Big Break (GB) (6.5) (1/3) (~1 hour)
5) Blackwell Legacy (PC) (7.0) (1/5) (2.6 hours)
6) Blackwell Unbound (PC) (7.5) (1/7) (2.2 hours)
7) Blackwell Convergence (PC) (8.0) (1/7) (2.4 hours)
8) Blackwell Deception (PC) (8.0) (1/8) (4.7 hours)
9) Blackwell Epiphany (PC) (9.0) (1/9) (6.5 hours)
10) Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4) (8.0) (1/22) (~55 hours)
11) Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (360) (8.0) (1/28) (~.5 hours)
12) Deep Duck Trouble Starring Donald Duck (SMS) (6.5) (1/31) (~1 hour)

February:
13) Quackshot Starring Donald Duck (GEN) (7.5) (2/7) (~2 hours)
14) Fire Emblem Heroes (Android) (8.0) (2/9) (~10 hours)
15) Super C (NES) (9.5) (2/20) (~0.5 hours)
16) Contra (NES) (10.0) (2/20) (~0.5 hours)
17) Mickey's Dangerous Chase (GB) (6.5) (2/24) (~1 hour)
18) My Nintendo Picross: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (3DS) (8.5) (2/25) (~19 hours)
19) Mega Man 2 (NES) (10.0) (2/28) (~0.8 hrs)

Decided on more NES action. I'm going to shoot for some sort of challenge run at some point with Mega Man 2. I think a no-death might be too simple, as this run only saw me die twice, and only because I didn't bother to use E-Tanks at two points. Perhaps a Buster-only run?

Anyway, if you haven't somehow played Mega Man 2, it's probably the best of the NES games. I know the eternal argument is between it and the third game, but I just think MM2 takes the prize overall. (I still love MM3, though.)

You've made the right choice. As for buster only, obviously you can't do that for the turret boss and I can't remember if alien Wily is vulnerable to buster or only to bubble.

Yeah, I'd have to make exceptions for those two cases. It's definitely Bubble Lead-only against Wily. You'd also have to make an exception for the Item-Xs as well.

Right, but you could limit it to sections that are impossible to cross without them. So you can force yourself to do the blocks in Heat Man's stage, for example, instead of Item-2'ing over the pit.
