Death of the Outsider is more Dishonored and that's always a good thing. If we do evaluate this on its own though, it is for the most part the weakest entry in the series. But for a complementary piece to Dishonored 2 I can't complain at all and was more than happy to be back in this world. I thought the story was solid enough and while it does close off a major chapter of the franchise, I was glad to see that the end game still makes vague suggestions that there's a possibility for more Dishonored down the road. It's unfortunate that Dishonored 2 had a very poor PC launch, Bethesda is horrendous at promoting their games for good releases, Prey was amazing but not a blockbuster hit, and Harvey Smith in recent interviews sounds ready to move on from Dishonored. The world of Dishonored is one of the best I've ever seen and been in, it's a real work of art and I want to be greedy and say I hope we get more. They can take a break for sure, but I hope this isn't the abrupt end like what kind of happened to Bioshock and the new Eidos Deus Ex's. Arkane does the modern immersive first person stuff the best, by miles. At the very least I hope they stick to the genre and Bethesda treats them well.
