I made one change, but other than that, that's my exact breakdown.

See and those kinds of hour ratings is what scares me. I've HLTB the games I'm working on and not even close to beating them even time soon. Tales of Phantasia I'm at least 20 hours off, and the ToCS I don't even want to know....feels like I've done so much and i've only gone through the first couple of days. I love my rpgs but the length dang....for someone like me who doesn't want to see a game end it's nice but on the other hand it's scary knowing it'll take that long...
My gameroom
My systems: NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, original gba, gba sp(001), ds lite, 3ds, vita, psp, PSone(101 model) ps2, ps3(320gb model), ps4, retron 5, and Dreamcast.

I feel you, man. That's why I don't play a lot of RPGs. I love them to death, but I've got to space them out usually. With Trails of Cold Steel, I can help you out with that if you need since I just beat it last night, so feel free to shoot me a PM if you need. HLTB is both a boon and a bane for me; it helps me figure out what game to play in a given window (like if a game I'm super hyped for comes out in two days, I can figure out what I have to play in the interim), but it intimidates the shit out of me with those super long games.

See and I'm just not apt to beating games anywhere in the window. I explore every nook and cranny and still can never 100% a game since sometimes my exploring a 100% turns into accidentally triggering story that I was avoiding for a moment or two longer. I've done that in so many rpg's it's not even funny...

Play 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen RPGs. Nice and brief, for the most part.

I have gotten my Ys I playthroughs down to three orgasmic hours.

Since you play it at least once a month I can see how....it's just once I finish both or one of my rpg's i'm working on I need to tone it down to something lighthearted. Tales at least definitely aims towards the darker despite it's nature. But the others I don't mind them being long as long as they make it long for good reason other than just being a jerk to the player XD

This is the third game in the Contra series. Contra III is the fourth. Because no video game series can have a coherent numbering system.

So yeah, this is pretty rad. I'm impressed by how similar it looks and feels to the two NES titles. The game is a lot more generous with its power-up guns. The default weapon is a machine gun rather than a pea shooter and there's a new homing weapon that's even better than Spread.

That said, I find this a bit more difficult than its NES predecessors. This is mainly due to the small cramped screen. During certain boss battles there's barely any room to move. And the jumping is a bit trickier; I found myself plummeting down a pitfall on a couple of occasions.

Soundtrack includes some remixed tunes from the earlier games. Noice.

I love Contra games. I really do need to pick up part "three" on SNES.
