It's easier to enjoy an imitation when you've never had the real thing.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

I said "its graphical design stays consistent in tonal theme in a damned near totalitarian manner", but if you prefer; "world's fucking yellow yo".
I feel like the joke just went over both of you...
Directors Cut does not have the yellow tint that the original release did. Instead, it basically looks more boring and like Mass Effect.

Can't find better videos though. It was most noticeable in China. Maybe it's just me that preferred the original though, I'm a rare one that actually enjoys some bloom.

Re: Games Beaten 2016
That video just made me want to play DE: HR again, such a good game.
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.
Re: Games Beaten 2016
1. 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors (DS)
2. The Order 1886 (PS4)
3. The Division (PS4)
4. Until Dawn (PS4)
5. The Crew Wild Run Edition (PS4)
6. Mad Max (PS4)
Mad Max is like a lesser version of Shadow of Mordor with some okay not great car action mixed in. The game suffers from a poorly put together story line, a bland environmental design, and passable car and brawler mechanics. There is also an unnecessary base building and unlock system that require a fair amount of repetitive and/or boring work to build your character up and provide basic features such as health and ammo at bases. If you like Mad Max and/or large sandboxes with a lot to do you it might be worth picking up for say $15 or so but other then that it's a pretty mediocre game.

Well, I was assuming you were joking about how yellow/gold HR is, but Exhum played the Directors Cut so it's not overly yellow/gold. I guess it's still there a bit though.

Oh, hey, Bone, I almost forgot this, but while we're on the subject of Super C: have you given Super Cyborg a shot?
It's a brutally difficult Contra clone. I mean, the controls are dead-on NES-style Contra, and it's surprisingly good stuff. Again, though, maybe one of the toughest games I've ever beaten, but worth a shot if you're still in the mood for something Contra-like.

Oh man, that looks tough just by the screenshots! Added to wishlist, thanks.
Strangest "Contra" game I ever played was The Contras for the Tandy Color Computer. It's an unauthorized(?) port of the NES game. Insanely rare, it took me forever just to find the disk images online. Loads better than the C64 port, which I suppose isn't saying much.
