I think SS2 is only one partner co-op. I didn't know Descent has co-op, though I can't imagine you'd want more than one partner in those tunnels.

SS2 gets crazy at 4, but 3 is stable. I played through a good bit of it with xen and goji last year. But it hurts the narrative of the game since you are no longer alone, you can work as a team. Do note, that you need to hotsave alot, it might crash randomly. But with 2 players you can go down different skill trees easily.

Descent, if played through Descent XXL Rebirth, supports up to 8 I believe. But you will not get xen to play that one.

I actually do have SS2, but if it's no good in 4P then that kind of sucks for us.
