I feel your pain about arcade sticks and current-gen consoles. The decent options right now are incredibly pricey. I am currently waiting on the Crossbone PCB to be available again in order to add Xbox One compatibility to my arcade stick.

There is the Skullgirls driver that allows for PS3 sticks to work on the PS4 but I haven't heard of anyone else making use of it yet. A less than desirable option is to get use an Akishop PS360+ PCB and soft reset between fights to get around the 8 minute disconnect timer. The only other options that I am aware of are padhacking or buying an officially licensed PS4 stick.

There are a few PS3/PS4 compatible options if you want to go that route. Some haven't been released yet but are due out in April

Oh and there is also the CronusMax but for PS4 support you have to use it in conjunction with a PC.

Nice work.

I actually have managed to 1CC it. :o It is traditionally thought of as being the "easiest" game in the series tho, right?

btw how are you playing this MVS game? I didn't even know you were into MVS.

I've always heard Metal Slug 2 was the easiest due to all of the slowdown. The best I've done in MS is 5 credits I believe. I always struggle with the 4th boss and a particular place in level 5 where the 4th boss comes back briefly.

And I own a 4-slotter MVS. I just don't post about it very often.

Ah, I've only played 1, 3, 4, 5, Advance, 7, and XX I think... Maybe I'll check out the others on MVS someday...

No worries. I actually haven't gotten to try Advance, 7, XX, or 1st Mission. I've played through 1, 2, X, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 2nd Mission. The Mission games are very different but totally worth checking out if you get the chance.

Beat F-Zero (SNES) today, at least by my definition of beaten which is "Complete all the three leagues on the middle difficulty".

It was fun. Very sparse, but polished and fun. I would love to play X or GX but I can't play those while commuting so

Aye, what's there is largely quite nice.

Not that I'm good with an arcade stick either, but I also seemed to struggle more with the PS4 d-pad than I have with the one on the Dual Shock 1-3. Not sure if that's common, though I know not everyone likes the Sony d-pads in general.

If you're emulating those on the go, then check out the SNES sequel and three GBA entries too. All are worth playing for sure.

My favorite racing series. 8)
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Yeah I have a NGPC so I should check the Missions out eventually.

You know XX is like a revamped version of 7, right? Much like X was a revamped version of 2.

I don't remember all the changes, but XX allows for arcade style credit-feeding. 7 is harder to complete as it has a more traditional console-style continue system that sends you back to checkpoints. Same with Advance. I've actually made it all the way to the final boss of Advance but have never beaten it, which is somewhat infuriating.

Sounds like neither one of us has played this.....
