You could have always tossed in a run of Ultraman in between PC games if you wanted your fighting game fix.

Acky, You'd probably enjoy Adventure and Akalabeth (if u haven't played 'em).

I've actually beaten both, but I did have a blast with both of them. I've recommended Akalabeth to other folks a few times.

Getting back to the 1980s though, I'm thinking about suffering through Ultima 2 this summer... Should be fun.

The trick to Ultima 2 is realizing that 90% of the game is unnecessary to reach the victory screen.

Ultima II isn't bad. I mean, not good, but not awful. I like Exodus quite a bit, even on the NES.

How is Ultima IV on the C64? I downloaded the free iOS port, and I am hinking of giving it a try soon. Is is still accessible to modern audiences?

It's very good. I don't think there's a bad version of Ultima IV.
