Wipeout 2048 Vita

I'm loving my Vita, but, I was disappointed by this game. I had fun with it, but as far as Wipeout games go, it wasn't nearly at the level HD or even Pulse were at. The campaign is incredibly short and lacking in balance. It's much easier than most Wipeout games. As pretty as the graphics were, it also only ran at 30fps making the game seem a lot less controllable as well. Sure Pulse ran at 30fps, but the toned down visuals and track layouts were much more manageable than what 2048 offers. By far the best part of the game is the integration with Wipeout HD Fury's online multiplayer. Unfortunately, since the Vita version runs at 30fps, and with the tiny analog nubs, it's hard to be competitive.

Overall. Meh. It's a title I'll show people to illustrate how nice the Vita screen is. I guess I can see myself occasionally going back for a race. It's just not quite as good as I was expecting is all. Especially from a title that was named to seem like a spiritual successor to the absolutely amazing 2047.
I'm still not sure whether I'm a kid or a squid now.

I've been meaning to play KH from the beginning again.

Any tips on beating the multi-headed super big dog? I remember that boss being relentless.

I think I played the demo, but never the actual game. I'm looking forward to the remake/remaster as well.

Yeah, count me in too. I've played the first and second one on the PS2 and enjoyed them. They were flawed games I think, but it's nostalgic fun running around these classic Disney worlds and the games have incredible boss battles. It's hard to top classic, Disney villains for memorable boss battles. I will definitely be checking out the remake, especially if it's on Vita as well.

I recently bought KH 3d Dream Drop Distance on the 3DS, which seems to be a return to the gameplay of the first two PS2 games. I think it chronologically follows KH II as well, not that I care since these games have ridiculous stories. I don't know when it'll fit this game into my gaming schedule with all the Vita/3DS games I'm playing currently, but I look forward to trying it out.

I'd love to see a KH style game based around the Once Upon a Time TV series.

Basically with any of the bigger bosses in the arena the trick is to run around the stands during their ranged attacks waiting for an opening to move in. I think the trick with Cerberus was to wait for his bite attack and then sneak 2 maybe 3 hits to the head in between each lunge using roll to get away at the end of the combo.

I actually spent a lot of time in the arena this time around didn't bother finishing it however since Sephiroth and the Ice Titan are freaking insanely hard to beat and I didn't want to use a game guide to figure out their weakness.

35. Killing Floor (PC)(FPS)
36. Dungeons of Dredmor (PC)(RPG)
37. The 7th Saga (SNES)(RPG)

Ok, so I've got three on here.

Killing Floor I am saying I have beaten, because I have managed to survive a full game on every map in the game on Normal difficulty (and several on Hard so far). Just because it's beaten doesn't mean it is completed of course, so I will still likely be playing this for a while. But I enjoy it. It's a nice change of pace from Left 4 Dead and its sequel, because while those favor mobility to quickly reach the end, Killing Floor is more about setting up defensive locations to outlast the enemy hordes. Picking effective perks and good loadouts is of course necessary, but so is learning about your enemies abilities, especially when you start wanting to play on higher difficulties. For instance, my favorite perk is Commando, so I am best at calling out invisible enemies, killing the weaker hordes of enemies while other players worry about the big stuff, and shouting out the health levels of stuff to help when necessary. The game is best played with friends.

Dungeons of Dredmor I've beaten before, but I completed this run on a different difficulty and have access to more expansions than in my previous victory. Diggle Hell is a real place, and you can go there to kill Vlad Digula, a monster more powerful than the final boss. I know. I've done it. This game is a greaty (and funny) indie roguelike that deserves to be played.

The 7th Saga...wow, that was an interesting experience. This game is certainly not easy. Make sure your characters are highly leveled, always equipped with the best gear, and are plentiful with the buffs, because it will spell the difference between life or death. This is an RPG where you can permanently screw yourself over by losing your runes to a different character, and the rest of the enemies crawling around aren't exactly pleasant either. It requires strategy, skillful management of your characters, and a reasonable understanding of the combat system to survive. And this game will frustrate you. Oh man, it will frustrate you. Still, I've come out on the other side, with a new notch in my SNES belt.
