I think it's the only nes cart I still own from my childhood collection.

Do or do not, there is no try.

But I'll definitely give the fact the game can be very, very frustrating. I also wish you could kill Jason in the side-scrolling part of the game, and not only in a cabin.

I'd say probably 75-80% of my NES carts are from my childhood collection. I've never been one to trade or sell games.

1. Okamiden (NDS)
2. Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection (Wii)
3. Pinball Hall of Fame: The Gottlieb Collection (Wii)
4. Cave Story 3D (3DS)
5. Theatrhytm Final Fantasy (3DS)
6. Rayman Origins (Wii)
7. Kim Possible: What's The Switch (PS2)
8. Super Street Fighter 4: 3d Edition (3DS)
9. Metal Slug Advance (GBA)
10. Caveman Ninja (ARC)

In typical four-year-old fashion, my daughter requested a story about a princess being kidnapped by dinosaurs; so, I made up a story for her regarding a caveman princess named Princess Ugg. She thought it was hilarous, but she did not quite grasp the concept of primitive man. Accordingly, I gave a brief history lesson by playing though the Data East Arcade Classics (Wii) version of Caveman Ninja...which, coincidentally, also features caveman princesses being kidnapped by dinosaurs!

I played through the game with only one player, which made some of the boss fights moderately challenging even though I was credit-feeding. I was still able to breeze through it in about 30 minutes, however, and my daughter now has at least a rudimentary - if more than a little fantastical - concept of primitive man. It was simple fun, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a short diversion.

That is such an awesome game. I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I did (which is a lot).

Yeah, I loved the game. It was the first puzzle RPG I've played, and I found it very unique, and more importantly, addictingly fun. I stayed up wayyy too late a few nights because I couldn't put the damn game down. I beat Bane and completed the main story (and sieged all of the towns, completed all the sidequests up to that point), but it looks like there are a few new side quests that opened up, So I guess I'm not 100% done with the game. overall it was a f'n terrific game.

(in short, yes -- Puzzle Quest is one of those games for me that was a total surprise on the depth and the successful blending of 2 genres, see also Deus Ex)

16. Virtual-On: Oratorio Tangram - 3/22/2013
17. Ico (PS2) - 4/13/2013

Wow. Just wow. Ico was a game I received from a friend in High School for a secret santa gift exchange, and one that I never beat. In fact, I traded my original copy. So here I am, 12 years later, playing this wonderful game. Intuitive puzzles that leave you feeling rewarded, and a compelling story driven minimally by dialogue. This easily could be one of my top ten, if it wasn't so short. All that aside, this game was incredible and I recommend it to anyone who hasn't experienced it.

4/2 Gravity Bone (PC)
4/6 Thirty Flights of Loving (PC)

Games Beaten = 9

4/14 Good Morning, Commander (PC)

This is a free, pretty basic, point and click adventure game. It's also pretty lonley and unsettling in it's atmosphere. It reminds me a ton of 2001 or Moon, just this stark, bleakness and silence. Took me a bit to get some of the puzzles and you have to beat it in one go as there is no saving. If you try and tackle this one, feel free to PM me if you're stuck. :P

28. Todd McFarlane's Spawn: The Video Game (SNES)(Action-Adventure)
29. Mario's Early Years: Fun With Letters (SNES)(Edutainment)

And with that, I have played through two of the Mario's Early Years edutainment trilogy for the SNES. I prefer this one to Fun With Numbers, if only because it allows the player to move at their own pace at any time as opposed to having to wait for each segment to go through its various rounds before moving on to the next screen. Yes, it is a simple edutainment game, and no, it's not very interesting for us older folks. I admit that I nearly fell asleep several times while playing it. Did I learn anything? Well, yes actually. I learned that this sentence should never be included in an edutainment game: "Princess Toadstool has a large _______." My dirty mind came up with all kinds of answers before choosing the word "cup" to go there.

Oh, and the game continues using the same strange backgrounds and somewhat garbled speech, but it cut out a lot of the praising it did for the player that came in the Fun With Numbers game.

Now to track down Mario's Early Years: Preschool Fun and see if the change of creative director had a major impact on the trilogy.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (SNES)
Atlantis no Nazo (Famicom)
Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory (PS3)
4/14: Bioshock Infinite (PC)

Well, I was pretty let down overall by Bioshock Infinite. When I saw this trailer from 2011: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOMVnRAV17g I was amazed at what I saw, I wanted to play that game so bad. Instead there were only a few choice bits and pieces from that scattered through the game.

It's my own fault for putting any stock into it and thinking that what was presented for years would be the final product. It was and OK modern linear shooter that had a lot of bits of unfulfilled potential scattered about.

Was fun running through Doom 3 again. The gameplay is a bit bare bones, it's easy to say Half-Life 2 in comparison has aged a lot better to me personally, combat wise. But damn, id certainly had some of the best texture artists around for Doom 3, especially with Lost Mission. The detailing of the levels seriously looked like Halo 4 at times or something, simple levels but the intricate details really made it a blast to go through.

Last I read, articles were saying Doom 4's production has restarted once or twice so far, a lot of id employees have left the company, and for awhile they were apparently going for something CoD on-rails influenced... yikes. Rage was decent but I'd put Doom 3 above it, I hope id can make a comeback with Doom 4. The storyline should be, Hell has invaded Earth, kill them. GO!
