Silent Hill 4
Silent Hill Origins
Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
Resident Evil: Code Veronica X

...and those are just games that I currently own so I plan to look into many more. I'll definitely keep checking this thread for more suggestions.

Don't feel bad if you want to quit early with 4 or Origins!

4 was good. I daresay the plot was more interesting than 3.

But Origins... :|

4 is totally worth playing, don't get me wrong. It's got a lot of really cool ideas, it's just that it also has a lot of really aggrivating ideas to go along with it. It's good, but really, really flawed.

Personally, I stopped around the halfway point, where
You have to escort what's-her-face through all of the previous stages all over again with Walter running around trying to shoot you

Origins I just found agonizingly dull, like it was trying too hard or something. Shattered Memories at least is trying to be something totally new. I don't care for SM either (really dislike the controls), but I can at least give it the credit it deserves.

I did like 0rigins "fight with everything that isn't bolted down" mentality, though it got weird once I realized I was carrying about 30 different knives and tools. It does feature one of my favorite designed monsters, though I hated fighting them. Just remember: watch for the shadow in the mental hospital.

So I may finally get around to my backlog of survival horror, though I have no idea which ones I should play...

Yeah I've heard similar things about Origins. :? I'll still give it a shot though.

Which version of Shattered Memories have you played? Supposedly the Wii version has decent controls. I still decided to go with the PS2 version myself though.

Wii version.

I just didn't agree with the way it handled I guess. I went to it right after playing through Skyward Sword, though, which might've skewed my perceptions.

I like this idea, so far my plan is to play:

Shadows of the Damned (360)
Dante's Inferno (360)
Dead Space (PC or PS3)
-and-
Silent Hill: Book of Memories (Vita) (whenever that comes out)

I've already started Shadows of the Damned and find it to be really fun so far. There's definitely some thrilling/scary moments so far (I'm a wuss).

A few hours until the "month of horror" begins :)

Have you decided what you want to play?
