Game Store visit "Games 4 Less" PIC HEAVY!

Post by jay_red »

While on my honeymoon with my Wife at Disneyland, we had a day to relax and decided to stop by a game store that we visited a couple of years ago. I remembered this store being huge, and probably the most awesome game store I had ever been in. We were a little saddened to see that the store was no longer in business...or so we thought, they just moved down the street to expand, and it is HUGE now.

They had a bit of everything, mostly good stuff. Prices were average of a retail store, and on par with ebay/amazon etc. The owner was very nice, though an older man that didnt really seem to be too knowledgeable about games, he said he had been in business for 15 years.

After seeing all of this, the owner showed me this area behind a door in the back of the store, it was literally the size of another store! This area had the Sega, xbox, gamecube and other misc items, it blew me away the amount of stuff here!

I was like a kid in a candy store here, it was awesome to browse everything he had, I could have spent the whole day looking through everything that was there. I did pick up a few things such as a saturn 6 player multi tap, ps-DC controller adapter, Millenium 2000 dreamcast controller and mega man 64

I'm not a big N64 fan but those N64 logo cubes are awesome. And they ought to be more careful, stacking precious Dreamcasts like that :x

 That's incredible. If I walked into a store like that I don't know if I'd be able to stop drooling long enough to look at everything. It'd be so much fun to just dig through all of those games. I'd love to hit up a place like that. Thanks for sharing and making me really jealous.

we also stopped by 2 other places today, the first was called "Game Geeks" the store was about the size of a Game Stop, but with a lot of good retro stuff, it was quality over quantity for sure, but his prices were crazy. He has a loose Neo Geo AES with 2 joysticks and memory card for $999! some other crazy prices, but most everything was overpriced. Also run by an older gentleman that was not too knowledgeable about games.

The other place was a comic shop called "Phat Collectables" it was a huge store that had a ton of awesome stuff. There was a small game section that didnt have too much, but there were so many comics and action figures it was mind boggling. They also had a bunch of life size statues (c-3po, Han Solo in carbonite, Hulk (about 10 ft tall!) and many more, all for sale).
