For such a brutally violent game, it is surprisingly beautiful.
This shot capture much of what I love about the environments.
Craggy rocks. Glowing sunlight. Tropical plantlife. Futuristic architecture. Otherworldly environment.
I'd love it if I could just fly through the environments without having to play the game.

Here is a quietly foreboding shot from Dead Space as Isaac explores the disheveled remains of the starship Ishimura.
I like that the environment helps tell the story. Outside the hospital, there is a sign that reads "Sorry, we are full."
There is trash littered along the halls, crazed graffiti on the walls, smeared blood, a handprint...
