I'm looking very forward to April's TR for this reason. I got a similar game in a 4-game Dreamcast lot on Ebay called Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX. Plays almost the same. Almost have had it beat too :)

Plus, Slim Jim guy and gear was unlockable (AmishSamurai's avatar)!

THPS3, I remember when I bought it when it came out, being a fan of THPS since I played the demo on one of the Playstation Jampack demo disk, I played the crap out of the first 2 games and I loved it, but when I played the 3rd game when it came out...holy crap, I played that game more than 5 hours, I did not stop playing that game for anyone, I only stopped playing for food and bathroom, I must of gained allot of weight that weekend, I did not move at all, and I ate allot that weekend, I hardly slept at all that weekend, I played that game like a bloody zombie, even when I am at school, that game was on my mind, I could not wait to go home and play the game. I loved that game. Of course, its all downhill when THPS4 came out, even by today's standards, it did not age that well, the game looked...well, cheap. I stopped playing the game when American Wasteland came out, I consider that game an insult to the whole series since the game holds your hand throughout the game, and it was too easy...even on expert. So yeah, I jumped ship on that game and did not bought another Tony Hawk game since. Of course the series was an main influence to my taste of music, it introduced me to so many awesome music of all genre, I wouldn't be into bands/groups like Gang Star, Motorhead, Adolescents, Jurassic 5, Primus, Dead Kennedys, Iron Maiden (I was already a fan, but it pushed it further)...to name a few. I pretty much owe allot to the series, although it was also my downfall in my teenage life, but whatever, thats life.

I disagree. imo 3 has the better soundtrack and is the better game overall as well.

In fact, 3 is definitely my favourite.

I think the first four are brilliant games. THUG and all those games that came later... not so much. I'm very excited about the remake/remix thingy coming to PSN this year.

in order...

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 (PS2)
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (PSone)
Tony Hawk's Underground (PS2)
Tony Hawk's American Sk8Land (DS)

i actually preferred the open world format over the 2:00 laundry list style of the first three games.

the DS game was surprisingly fun for whatever reason. i haven't spent a lot of time with the others in the series.

THPS2 by far was my favorite. The games after had better mechanics but the level design in 2 was just so brilliant.

I should also add that if you aren't playing 1 & 2 on Dreamcast you are missing out on the best versions.

You obviously haven't heard of the Xbox release.
