Did you tell her you played it with me at PAX last year and that playing with her paled in comparison?

January
1- From Dust - PSN
2- Resident Evil Director's Cut - PS1
3- Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace - PS1

February

4- Deadly Premonition - Xbox 360
5- RefRain ~prism memories~ - PC

March

6- The Bouncer - PS2

7- Last Window: The Secret of Cape West - DS

Finally beat it. The story was pretty good although I think I prefer Hotel Dusk's story a little more. The game doesn't resolve the plot from the previous game but it does solve a pretty big mystery (trying to avoid spoilers).

If you played Hotel Dusk, and enjoyed it, and want to continue the story... find a copy of this game. You'll have to import it from Europe if you want to play a copy in English.

Like, you completed it?! My problem with this game is that if I mess up once, I always end up restarting the level. And there's like 12,000 levels.

Honestly, completing Picross 3D is like beating 10 other games.

Yes, outside of download level (which give you nothing for finishing them) and user created levels, I 100% everything in the game. There's only ... 2? Gold puzzles I left one mark on. The rest are three stars and all that crap.

For some puzzles ... I had to cheat (sort of), they just take way too long to figure out otherwise. So, what I'd do, is play as far as I could, then I'd start making guesses, if I made a mistake, I wouldn't just restart, I'd write down the orientation of some of the trickier lines. Then, I'd restart it (even after initially completing it) and I'd immediately go and mark off those areas, the puzzles would suddenly become cake.

There's only one puzzle in the entire game that's a mind-f*#&. I tried it THREE times and still ran out of time which was an hour time limit! It wasn't until I took some serious notes on it that I was able to finish it without mistakes in time. Thankfully it was like the last one.

But yeah the game was seriously long. I started playing it in the middle of 2011 off and on. So it really took me like 3/4s a year to beat it.

It's certainly one of the longest games I've played.

Oh, I don't take notes or anything serious like that... I laughed when my ex-girlfriend told me that I played too many video games, because she managed to beat my copy of Picross 3D. I've been chipping away at it for almost 2 years now but the Hard-level puzzles are just so long and intensive that I get bored after a few minutes.
