So the game I just beat is Halo 3: ODST, which was good but not great. Kinda muddy looking, very cliche characters and dialouge. The gameplay itself was solid, and the music was too (but this is Halo, the music is always good) but it was short, even by Halo standards. As ODST is essentially a spin-off, the story is quite unessential to the Halo series; however, it's still nice to see what was going on while we were running around as Master Chief.
ODST is pretty divisive, but I think it is the stinker of the series. Reach, on the other hand, is arguably the best game Bungie's ever made.
I'd say that Halo 3 is the stinker and ODST wasn't half bad. I totally agree that Reach is Bungie's best game.
Reach > Halo 2 > Halo > ODST > Halo 3 IMO
switch the last 2 and we're on the same page, though now I can't see playing the original Halo given how awesome Anniversary was.
