It took DanTDM playing this game on his youtube channel for my kid to play this game. I try to get him to play retro games all the time with no luck, but DanTDM plays it once...

Yeah that's an MSX with a C64 monitor. First game is (obviously) Dragon Quest, second is Circus Charlie.

Our little one arrived just around two weeks ago. Here he is being skeptical about his Nintendo onesie. Perhaps we have a Sega gamer on our hands?
