Thanks for your guys feedback! Googling this was impossible since it was all just articles about how kids shouldn't be allowed near screens because they'll turn in to psychopaths or some shit.

Those articles are true. Allowing your children even limited, closely-monitored screen time will instantaneously remove their souls and turn them into hollow-eyed, sociopathic monsters. That is both our goal and the goal of all children's entertainment, however. (Wish us luck!)

I may not have been playing games and such because of the move, but it didn't stop my kids.
The NES was perfect for the kids to play (in the kitchen) while we worked on the house and moved in.

(...wait until she's six. My gothy little girl is going as a corpse bride with skull face paint and blood dripping from her mouth. Her costume looks great - and it was all her idea! - but it is pretty hard break from last year's adorable "witch princess". )

EDIT: Here is a creepy joke our was playing on my wife and I last month...
