I thought I had posted this a long time ago, but apparently not. With arguments that Super Hexagon should be Game of the Year, I figured I should at least mention the Terry Cavanaugh flash game that started all this insanity.

I still have yet to survive a spiral. This game is hard.

I found the controls hard to use.

Agreed. I made it to level 2, but I don't like how sensitive the keys are.

I tried it with a controller and had the same sensitivity issues. I think the controls are part of the difficulty.

That was my very next thought. Ah, well. It's not bad, but could definitely use a bit more fine-tuning before calling it "GotY". Then again, I only played the regular version, not the Super Version. What are the differences, if any?

Edit: I will say this, though, Chipzel rocks. DAT SONG.

The controls have to be highly sensitive for you to be able to whip around the hexagon for some of the spirals and so on.

My current high schore for the browser-based Hexagon is 70:23

Super Hexagon is different because there are different patterns, colors, and music. The controls are still highly sensitive and twitchy, but they feel a little bit better and you might see some benefit from an analogue stick. Super Hexagon also has the shape of the field changes from a hexagon to a pentagon or square. It also ups the speed and difficulty as you get to more advanced levels.

Back To Bed

This is a trippy surrealist puzzle game. Bob is a sleepwalker and you have to guide him back to his bed, but you exist in some crazy MC Escher like dream world.

Interesting. Is this anything like The Bridge?

This is a puzzle-platformer and shmup. The game is hand drawn with stunningly beautiful pen doodles. Definitely give this one a go.

Did anyone else know about the Cursed Treasure sequel?

The graphics are gorgeous and the gameplay is tweaked, making it much more engaging than the original.

Not sure if this one has been mentioned, but I always find myself coming back to a game called Nanaca Crash http://megami.starcreator.com/nanaca-crash/
Nanaca crashes into some poor chump on her bike and with the help of her friends you have to see how far you can make the dude fly.

Planet Punch

You're kind of a bully in this game. And you're a star in outerspace. With planets for hands. And you punch space dolphins and space narwhals. And you beat the tar out of other stars who are super friendly and completely defensely against you. And it's super fun.
