Warioware was a fun little game, one of the 3DS Ambassador GBA games. I've played it before, but this is the first time I beat it. I've heard some people moan about the later entries seeming gimmicky with their control schemes and such, but I think that adds some much needed variety to the game - most of the minigames in this one boiled down to 'press A with the correct timing'. That's not exactly a bad thing, it's still great fun, but it certainly kept this series fresh and interesting imo. This is a solid and fun start to the franchise, but more mini games would've been nice.
Mario Kart 7 was a game I went into feeling very uncertain. I disliked the Wii game and from all reports I'd heard, it sounded like this would play very similarly to that. Having played it though, it's one of the better Mario Karts imo, and in terms of physics (especially the weight and turning of the cars) I think it feels more like the Gamecube game or even the N64 one. The weapons have been nicely toned down since the Wii version - I still get screwed over by spiny shells on the last lap, but at least it doesnt happen EVERY DAMN RACE like in the Wii version. Most of the new tracks are great, most of the retro ones were weak choices imo, but overall, a solid game.
Starfox 64 3D is a good port of Lylat Wars, but it doesnt really add much new. I don't like gyro controls for the game. I do like the new graphics and I like the 3D well enough too. I played through the hardest route on my first time through the game which I was happy about as I've never been that way before. Good stuff.
Next Up: Something pout of Mario vs Donkey Kong, F Zero Maximum Velocity, Super Mario 3D Land, Professor Layton & The Spectre's Curse.
