Not nearly as many as last year, but considering what all happened in 2011, I'm not surprised. And I still enjoyed myself immensely with my gaming, so I'm not too worried about it. I hit a solid mixture of genres, though my choices were very Sony heavy this year, with over half of the 37 games I beat appearing on PlayStation consoles.

This list is judged based on how keen i was to keep playing these games, in addition to how new the experience felt to me (this is why Ocarina fo Time 3D didn't make the list for example - I've beaten the game a ton of times before). Zelda was an amazing game that became the GOTY for me without question, only just displacing Ghost Trick which I couldn't put down once I started playing. Banjo Kazooie was a fantastic platformer I experienced for the first time, pokemon white was the best pokemon game I ever played and Dead or Alive Dimensions is a brilliant fighter that's had more playtime than any other game on my 3DS. Super Punch-Out!! made me want just one more try, Monster Hunter was a huge investment of my time to get that little more powerful, guardian heroes was pure chaotic fun, and FFIX was just a great, solid traditional JRPG.

I found this game not only visually accepting for a iPhone game, but also quite fun, sure it is not going to live up to the console version, but it captured the feeling of the console versions pretty well. Best of all it was free during EA's Daily Deals!
