madden online for wii

Just wondering if anyone still plays online for the older maddens. I'm thinking about getting madden 07 or 08 since madden 09,10 and 11 got horrible reviews. I have 08 for the cube but i want to go online but im not going to waste my money if no one is playing the older maddens online. Anyone still play the older series online and if so which madden? thanks
