For me: Ninja Gaiden (both NES and XB versions) - FUCK THAT GAME! I'm all for a challenge, but not when it's offered in the form of cheap enemy placements, shitty camera, sloppy game design, bullshit missions with Rachael, etc.

Fuck Ninja Gaiden again.

I never was a fan of Little Big Planet. I never really was into the platforming in that game. The whole foreground/background jumping just kills it, and I didn't really like the graphical style either. The creativity is great if you're patient enough with it, which I'm not.

I always liked the Ninja Gaiden series as a whole. I agree with you in some respects regarding part 1 & 2 for the 360, PS3. You can't hide a sloppy camera with blood & gore no matter how hard you try. The unruly camera lead to my demise a few times.

Though the action is top notch. The enemy AI is smart as hell and the moves at your disposal are better than most fighting games. Its not like you can just level up to pass the level, you actually have to practice, know the AI and know how to best execute the moves and weapons at your disposal. Having to play Rachael in the PS3 version definitely sucks though, hence why I like the original Xbox version best. I don't know why they felt the need to shoehorn her in there.

The original NES games are pure 8 bit genius. The movie scenes were awesome to watch when I was a kid and today. There was nothing like it for the NES back then. I loved that the NES games are all about reflex and memorization especially part 1 & 3. I've always been a sucker for that tough as nails, 8 bit white knuckled action. I've beaten all 3 NES games and I'll say its a true feeling of accomplishment beating them, especially part 3. I've kinda always thought as them as shmups on foot.

I've always thought of it as Castlevania sped way the hell up.

Call of Duty, it's just an average FPS and it feels dated. Don't understand the hype.

Halo, same. As someone said, after being on Timesplitters it felt slow and boring, plus it brought in that gay re-generating health system.

Metal Gear Solid. This has to be the most overrated game series in history. For me, Splinter Cell shits all over it in terms of stealth gaming, yeah the story may be interesting but I don't want to sit through hours of FMV. It's a game not a film. Never understood it, let's watch a cut scene for 10 minutes, get through this section of level, and watch another 10 minutes of video.

Street Fighter series. I like a good fighting game, Virtua Fighter 4 is one of my favourite games, but I have never enjoyed Street Fighter. I liked Capcom Vs SNK on the Dreamcast but I always played with SNK characters. I think I have just never quite liked the quarter circle, half circle style of controls, I find it hard to pull any moves off, I prefer the left, right kick style.

I can't seem to get behind Virtua Fighter.. I get it - it's pretty technical, and it's a nice change of pace from the button mashers, but I just can't seem to really enjoy it as much as Soul Calibur or Street Fighter..
