Not in the mood for gaming
Re: Not in the mood for gaming
I'm not really hating on gamestop, but it's just the idiots the company hires. I think when it's money related I get all pissed when I feel like I spent too much on a game when it's supposedly listed at a lower price. I think every gamer has every right to be affected or offended in some way, especially when we've worked very hard to save every penny. Games will always "be expensive," so there's no arguing in that. This is just a warning because your local/favorite gamestop might be infested with at least one idiot/liar. I'm just worried if I will see the guy again when I pick up my Gran Turismo 5 CE (heck, Sony/polyphony should pay me to pick this up).

Seems like not enough. It's every young gamer favorite punching bag.

I think Gamestop are really only good for two things...
1. Buying old PS2 games for really cheap
and
2. Pre-ordering games and Collector's Editions of games that you may not be able to find at any major electronics retail store.

Yeah, GameStop owns EB Games now; they bought them out a few years back. We had an EB Games competing with a GameStop in our town then; now we have two GameStops a block away from each other.

I have yet to have a problem at any GameStop I go to. My experience is like Corn619's. I go in, tell them what I want, pay, then leave.

Neither have I. In fact, I've had good experiences. I bought my friend a used copy of Pokemon Pearl for Christmas at a store in Iowa. By the time he said that it wouldn't work, it was past the 30 day return. We went to our local GameStop anyway in Illinois. Not only did they replace it for free, but they pointed out that the reason was because one of the pins was missing from the back of the cart.
So honestly, the only problems I ever have with GS are the pitching of PS2 artwork and some of the prices, but you can sometimes find a great deal,.

Re: Not in the mood for gaming
I only like gamestop for their cheap ps2 and sometimes gamecube/xbox before they stopped selling them. The employees at my gamestop are really nice, and most of the time we talk about games, old and new. The only bad side is no retro games and those stickers from hell.
