Dreamcast 2 a possibility...

Hey, if Panasonic can come out with whats basically a portable 3DO surely Sega can pop out another console.

Never gonna happen... but it's nice to dream.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Naka really isn't an authority when it comes to Sega's business decisions

If I have the opportunity in the future I want to be involved again with hardware making. It would be ideal if I could become some sort of advisor working with the platform makers in the future.”

that's a big "If."

Why would it "never happen" if he is clearly thinking about it?

I thought Yuji Naka didn't even work for Sega anymore.

With all due respect to the topic creator, why create a thread with a topic like that? That article gives NO reason to believe we'll see a Dreamcast 2.

This is the equivelant of Ken Penders thinking he's going to make a Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Ok, Yuji Naka has slightly more sway than that, but he doesn't even work for Sega. He's just wishing it would happen.

Sure, and it will launch with Shenmue 3.

We don't need a new Sega console anyway. Sure it would be cool, but all we really need is Sega releasing high-standard games more frequently on multiple platforms.

Agreed. A new high-risk console is financial suicide if the billions to back it aren't there. Besides many people still view Sega negatively 15 years after the fact.
