Even if it were coming out this Christmas I wouldn't ask for one. $300 for a handheld? Let's see, for $300 I could get another Netbook (like the one I'm typing the message with), I could get a Playstation 3, XBOX 360, or Wii, or I could get a macho graphics card for my PC. I already have a PSP and a DS Lite, so it's not like I'm game-deprived on the go. I already have more cheap PSP games than I know what to do with. So to me, no big deal. As Peppy Hare put it, "Sorry guys, I'm gonna have to sit this one out."

This wasn't a delay. I think Nintendo Power said March, so I've known about this for a month or two.

I'm just waiting for a price.

It's feasible that I might buy one now, I'm cool with that. The price is a tad high, but I never bought a DSi/XL so I'm not that bothered by the price. Of course all that money could go towards a J360...

It didn't have a release date until like 6 hours ago. How could it be delayed?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

yeah this post is inaccurate in saying that the system was delayed- late release is more accurate

The other thing is that no pricing has been announced for the US/European markets. Only the Japanese pricing is set at 25000 Y. You can't convert the price to dollars and say that it's going to sell for $300 in the US. BTW, this is the same launch price for the Wii which was $249 in the US.

In Japan, the Wii costs $250 and the DSi XL costs $215 if you convert the yen to dollar, so I doubt the 3DS will cost $300. As mentioned earlier, you don't just convert the Japanese price. The rate is like 83 yen to the dollar, which hasn't been this bad since the height of the bubble economy in the late 80s/early 90s.

Millions of individuals that follow Nintendo expected this to be released for Christmas....who puts out a system in April? Seriously even March? You miss the whole holiday season...so I did not mistype when I said Delayed....

thanks
