Does anyone know if there is campaign co op? I remember co op being mentioned but I assume that's online. I'll be picking it up and playing it with my girlfriend if we can play the whole game together. We finished Resident Evil 5 co op and need more zombies to kill.

Way to go Pirate Pete! I have the Casino Poker edition on order from Capcom after playing Case Zero I had to get the coolest version around! I think I'll eventually pickup the Zombrex edition even... someday... when it's $40 or less.

Started playing last night. The game mechanics feel antiquated and running about at this slow pace can be annoying, but the fun element is there. Loading times are simply atrocious even playing this game from a USB2.0 storage device. I imagine the PC version not being restricted by transfer speeds like the PS360 would be a tad more tolerable.

The lack of autosave is a game-breaking 'feature' for me. It's not like the gameplay is helping you beat the more powerful opponents. Overall a disappointing game.

Did you even play the first? You should know what you are getting into. Personally I think the save system is perfect now. The first one was a massive pain in the arse but tolerable. At least this one allows you to have 3 consecutive saves. I fucking hate it when games have autosaves and you get to a point in the game where you can't proceed any further because you don't have the right equipment at the right point causing you to either backtrack for hours or start again.

However I have been shafted by the lack of autosave, I saved 7 survivors at once, went up 4 levels in one go, forgot to save at the safe house, triggered a psychopath event by accident on my way to another save point and subsequently got owned by him because I had no food from escorting the survivors and the only weapons I had were a lousy spear and a flashlight... :(

Who else has got this and is wanting to do some Co-op?

Nope, got it second-hand but never got the disc to boot, suspect I was shafted on that one. Anyway I did finish the game and got the S ending, but when Capcom greenlights the eventual sequel I hope they solve some of the more annoying technical quibbles.

They could also work on the survivors bit. I mostly saved them to gain PPs, minor satisfaction otherwise. Their purpose felt very dated, they could assist in the actual game if they had dynamic AI etc. DR feels like a 90s game through and through.

So is the general consensus that DR2 is worth picking up? If so, will try to snag a good deal around Black Friday or Xmas. I was watching Dawn of the Dead yesterday so it got me in the mood for this game.
