Re: Do you believe in game remakes?
Would you pick the enhanced remake over the original?
Depends on the game.
Would you buy Mario All Star over the NES mario?
I like the originals better.
Will you buy the RE on gamecube instead on psx?
Oh God yes. The GCN remakes is so amazing that I could NOT go back to the PS version.
Will you buy Kolona Wii over the original?
Never played either.

1. Depends.
2. I actually own SMAS but not the NES games
3. REmake is great and is actually different enough that you could own both it and the original without it being too redundant. The other RE ports are really well done too.
4. Never played Kolona

1) Did they screw anything up when they enhanced it? Gameplay over graphics, my friend.
2) No way. The originals are masterpieces. The remakes were...forgettable.
3) I'm a game collector - it depends on what I want to add to my collection
4) Never heard of it.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

1. I always want to try and play the original first. Also, as a collector, I'm always more interesting in OWNING the original. So if I'm forced to choose between the two and I haven't already bought or played the original, then the original wins

It depends. Some games get an updated port and only get better by it (Example: MGS3: Subsistence). While sometimes games get ported with a few features removed from the original (Example: Persona 3 Portable). In the first of those cases I always try to get the enhanced version. In the second of those cases it depends on what was removed vs. what was added.
I feel old when talking to anyone my age yet too inexperienced to effectively talk to anyone older. Life is grand that way.

1. Depends. Certainly wouldn't touch Conker: Live and Reloaded, but I'd definitely try Ocarina of Time: Master Quest.
2. Never played Super Mario All-Stars, but the originals are probably better.
3. Never played either.
4. It's Klonoa. And never played either of those either.

Generally, yes. I love originals, but I love to re-experience those games on new platforms with their various enhancements.
kingmohd84 wrote:Would you buy Mario All Star over the NES mario?
Absolutely, as long as we're talking about the version that included Super Mario World. Awesome games, and I prefer the SNES style graphics.

No. I hate the awkward GameCube controller -- Resident Evil has a terrible enough control scheme as it is, why make it worse?
kingmohd84 wrote:Will you buy Kolona Wii over the original?
Yes.

The GC controller really sucks.
