I always bundle Konami and Capcom in my head. Weird.

Kind of strange that both series committed suicide at the same game number...

Conspiracy?!?!

I couldnt even play silent hill 4, the game wasn't "silent hill". I had to force myself to play it cause my wife got it for me for my birthday. Ouch, i should have told her no more silent hills. The the first and second are my fav's after that I had a hard time beating #3. Resident evil 4 totally sucked me in as much as the first 1 and 2 did. 3 was so-so. I really haven't played 5. I never did beat code veronica. (I own it, but got bored with it)

1, 2, 3, zero, code: vernoica, 4

that's 6.

AppleQueso wrote:You are correct. I own RE2 and 3 on the gamecube and they're simply ports of the psx versions. Very good ports that are better than the original even but ports none theless

in what way are they superior to the original?
did they enhance anything?

I always wanted to buy the whole bunch for GC (I have only nr. 4), but since I have the PSX versions I've had my doubts (and of course Veronica X on the DC) =)

I was just talking about RE today with a friend who only has played RE4 and 5. And said "no" when I told him he should play the RE's before that cuz they're a lot different.

It was stupid.

Anyways, I actually liked RE5.... well, i've only played it on co-op and I liked doing that. I know it sucks there's no more zombies and stuff.... but I guess you gotta change up the enemies sometimes. I don't really have any particular like or dislike for the enemies in RE5, but I think for namesake, I like the lickers. *lol*

I've only actually played RE and RE5. I watched someone play RE4. I'm really wanting to play RE2 and 3 though!

As for silent hilll... I think I have to agree that it was hard to like/play the later ones.

I don't know, I still like the RE series even though it's quite different from the original.

i didnt really like 5 as much. seemed too easy compared to the classic ones. i hope that whatever new re games come out bring back the elements from re's 1-3, 2 especially.

I like that they bring back old characters though. I like to get into the characters and if a game comes back with different characters, I miss the old ones~~~
