Holy shit, I totally forgot about this game! Had the posterity edition pre-ordered for nearly two years now - they sure are taking their time  Hope the wait's worth it, while i've enjoyed other modern Megadrive RPGs (Beggar Prince & Legend of Wukong), none of them have been fantastic, so I hope Pier Solar can buck the trend.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent (already pre-ordered this one) :)

Portal 2 (the bitch is back)

The Witcher 2

Shank

El Shaddai (if it sees a PC release)

The Last Guardian (might get me to buy a PS3)

And if I get a Wii, then I'm interested in Donkey Kong Country 4, Sin & Punishment 2, Epic Mickey, Kirby's Epic Yarn, and Metroid Other M (plus a bunch of older titles).

Sonic 4 and Asscreed 3. Too bad that it's mostly sequels though. Anything promising on the indie front JT?

Thatgamecompany (flOw, flOwer) will be releasing a new game called Journey that looks promising.

Trauma looks like an interesting use of technology meant for photographs.

Deponia looks pretty. I'm not sure if it counts as Indie. It's the same people that made The Whispered World, which is also a very lovely looking hand-painted game.

Feist should finally come out after winning some awards in '08 for visuals.

Thanks! Thatgamecompany sure loves their PSN. I tend to play indie games on the PC so them not releasing on said platform disappoints me (and many others who don't have a PS3)..

Avernum 6 came out this year.

And I think Knights of the Chalice 2 is being worked on but I am not sure if it will get released this year or not.

Yeah, I hope that finds its way to PC as well.

Here's another one to look out for:

Rock of Ages is the new game by Ace (indie developers of Zeno Clash). Each level represents a different era of art history and you bowl over villagers with a giant boulder. I like the graphical concept, but I'm not sure how I feel about the gameplay concept. It's hard to judge since there aren't a lot bowling over villagers by rolling boulders down a mountain games. :P

This looks like one of the best years in a long time.

Sonic 4
Donkey Kong Country Returns
Kirby's Epic Yarn
Rayman
Epic Mickey (despite the video of the dude taking the story way too seriously)
Splatterhouse
Sin and Punishment 2
Batman Brave and the Bold
