I might give it a shot, I am more wanting to keep a record of what I have completed rather than what I haven't (though they are really one and the same).

Radio Allergy - Wii *new*
In my quest to finish games I've started and never finished, I decided to actually play through the games on the Ultimate Shooter Collection, which I'd picked up a handful of times before without beating any of the games. The reason: this game (moreso than the other two) gets absolutely insane in some of the later levels and the amount of bullets on the screen can be tough to dodge. A fun shmup nonetheless, better than average - but not great.

Karous -Wii*new*
I might be in the minority that actually prefers Radio Allergy to Karous, as this game felt like more of the same with slightly less interesting design and a considerably lesser challenge. Still, a few of the bosses will make you dodge like crazy and it's a fun way to kill some time.

Half-Minute Hero - PSP *new*
This is a fantastic little retro-inspired title that can be enjoyed by even a very infrequent RPG gamer like myself. A nice blend of puzzle and RPG elements, with some memorable moments thrown in. I'm going to count this one as done, although I am still tinkering with some of the bonus modes past the main story. They don't have the same appeal as the main game (a very easy RTS mode, a not-so-great shooter mode, and variations on the main game), but are nice bonuses that add even more to the title. If you haven't checked this one out yet, you should!

Awwshea. Jackal in effect.

Beat it last night, no continues, and only two "Here?" screens. This game remains one of my favorites. Great graphics, controls, music, and is a complete blast playing simultaneously with a friend. It's never gotten old to me, and doubt it ever will.

Jackal Rebirth, I await you.

Stinky Salad Lady, if I see you again in a plane, beware: I'll be farting. Continuously. I'll also bring a jar of Kim Chi for your smelling pleasure. Maybe a durian wrapped in burnt hair covered with a sauerkraut reduction sauce.

I beat In the Hunt today. It was a very interesting shump that takes place underwater. You actually control a submarine, and the game feels quite unique for a shmup. Apparently, the dev team that later went on to create Metal Slug was behind this game. Here is a gameplay video for those who may be interested.

I've been on a bit of a buying spree lately (I recently got Photo Dojo, Bird & Bombs, Metal Torrent, Mr.Driller, AiRace Tunnel, Game and watch manhole, Game & Watch Cement Factory for DSiWare, TV stars basketball and blazing lazers for TG16, ICO for PS2, Kirby's Pinball Land and Konami Collection volume 2 for GB and Kuru kuru kururin for GBA), so I'm trying to balance it out a bit by going on a game beating marathon.

Photo Dojo is a fun little diversion, but not exactly a great game. Taking pictures of yourself to become fighting characters is the main draw, and works pretty well, so it's no so big a deal that the fighting game itself is very basic.

Bird & Bombs (Spotto! in the US) is a fun little DSiWare game where you have to aim you bomb throws to land them in ghosts mouths. Its quite fun, but its beatable in about 2 hours, and i cant see much reason to go back. For 200 points though, its one of the best and cheapest games on DSiWare.

Metal Torrent is a bullet hell shooter by Nintendo (0_0) for DSiWare (0_0). Its not going to set the world ablaze with it brilliance, but its a pretty fun little game. Easy mode is way too easy, but maniac mode (the only other difficulty) is pretty intense. I can only get to level 3 of 8 XD.

Another Code R (the sequel to another code/trace memory for DS) is brilliant, although quite different to the first game. The story is even more central to the experience, and the puzzles are rather more spaced out than in the original. It's a shame you guys in the US didnt get this, I love it.

Beach Spikers is a fun enough game, and easy enough to pick up on the cheap. I kinda suck at it though, i came 8th of 16.

Im currently undertaking a marathon of games on backloggery where i try and beat a game beginning with each letter of the alphabet (hence Another code and Beach spikers - C will eventually be Chuchu rocket) so expect me to post a fair few more soon.

Total: 25

Letters D & E on my alphabetical game marathon complete. I've temporarily skipped C (Chuchu Rocket) as my Dreamcast isn't at uni with me, but I'll go back to it when I go home in about 4 weeks time.

DoReMi Fantasy is a fantastic platformer. It's perhaps a bit easy, but it's very well made and extremely fun, to the point where I have to wonder why it never came out in the US or Europe - I played it on Virtual Console, where it's an import title. For anyone who partakes in the VC or owns a Super Famicom, I can't recommend it enough - the small cutscenes are written in Japanese, but illustrated with an animation, and any time a new ability is learned it's also explained with an animation so theres no major issues with the language barrier either.

I was going to wait til July for the Together Retro with Ecco the Dolphin, but I decided to play it now as it's my only E game. The learning curve was fairly steep, but once I got into it, I enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting considering the whole game is made up of some of my most hated elements of video games - cheap enemies, timed missions (the oxygen bar), escort mission, mazes and of course water levels - the whole lot of them.
The main issues I had with the game were the 3 levels (there are 25 total, although 2 are repeated twice - the mega cd version has about 5 more i believe) which feature instant death objects which crush you. These are unbelievably cheap, as its incredibly hard to get Ecco to just stop still in between them, and it ends up being a case of rushing through and hoping for the best. The last level is possibly the cheapest level I've ever played in a game ever, with lots of enemies that kill you in about half a second, a labyrinth maze design, and forced scrolling - If you take the wrong route in this 7 minute long level, you start it again. ¬_¬ In addition, the final boss can eat you whole, which sends you back to the start of the 7 minute labyrinth.
I hear the Sega CD and japanese mega drive versions were both made a little easier, by adding checkpoints, whereas the PAL and US versions make you restart levels when you die. The japanese one also featured an extra stomach level when you get eaten by the final boss, which saves beating the last level again. Either way, you're still forced to do the labyrinth in a single go, which is no mean feat. Ecco was fun overall, but I definetely have absolutely no urge to play tides of time, which I hear is harder overall, although it's hardest segments aren't as hard as the first's hardest.

I really like your idea for going alphabetically - it's a good way to force yourself to play certain games on your backlog.

I need to finish up Geometry Wars Galaxies (Wii) as I'm about half way through it from over a year ago. Strangely, I also have the DS version that I've never opened/played. Which version are you planning to play?

Also, you should start listing a total :D.

I haven't been playing much of anything this week, but I have a few games I hope to get to this weekend...

I'm playing the wii version, which I got for the bargain price of £2.50 (about $4 I think). The DS version seems really good aswell, judging from the downloadable DS version of Retro Evolved thats on the Wii disc. Seems that left handers might struggle though, having to navigate with ABXY instead of the control pad.

The alphabet marathon is pretty fun, the only issue being that sometimes I hit a wall with the game I'm on, like is the case now with F Zero GX. God this game is hard, I fail even on Novice difficulty! Still, If I can beat the machine in ecco, no flashy spaceships are gonna keep me down. Feel free to join the marathon if you like, plenty of people already have.

Also, editing in a total now.
