I enjoyed Soldner-X 2 much more than the first game, and can see myself going back to unlock more challenges and other things repeatedly. It's quite a strong PS3 shmup - probably the best for the system and one of the best hori's I've ever played.

Gears of War kicked my ass. Rather, the piss poor camera and annoying mechanics made it easy for my ass to get kicked repeatedly. Enemies who dole out one hit kills are fine. Enemies who do so because they can't be seen due to camera limitations - not so cool. Anyway, I slogged through it because I heard Gears 2 was supposed to be better and wanted to finish up the first one. It took me buying this game three times to finally see it through to the end, and I can't imagine ever putting it back into the disc drive. Granted, some sections and some fights were fun, but there are a few pain-in-the-ass shoot-outs that break up the flow and decrease the fun factor in what is otherwise a decent third person shooter.

TOTAL: 45

Next Up: Bayonetta and PD Orta, for now

I cant muster a completion of Gears of War, like you I have tried a few times for the sake that number 2 is better, I have even tried co-op split screen with a friend who loves the series, but I just cant keep interested in it.

Bayonetta, I started but didnt play past the first level, really disliked the games engine in general as it felt more like a button masher than anything else.

I had a blast with Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin, so I moved right on to Order of Eclessia. Its definitely a lot harder than the previous entries in the series, but its not to the point of being frustrating. These DS titles all probably would be a bit more revered had they been console releases, as they are just as good, if not better, than Symphony of the Night.

*Edit - I just beat Order of Eclessia! Didn't want to flood the topic with another post so soon after my last one, so I'll just add it in this one. Really not sure what I will move on to next...

I really can't accurately say what I've completed in 2010. I'm very certain I completed these within 2010:

Breakdown - Xbox
Chrono Trigger - SNES
Comix Zone - Mega Drive
Damnation - PC
Doom 3 - Xbox
Gangster Town - Master System
Left 4 Dead 2 - PC
Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past - SNES
Lylat Wars/Star Fox 64 (All Routes)
Mass Effect - PC
Mass Effect 2 - PC
Ninja Gaiden - NES
Resident Evil 5 - PC
Rise of the Dragon - Sega CD
Rocket Knight Adventures (Hard mode) - Mega Drive
Saints Row 2 - PC
Sin and Punishment - N64
Sonic 2 & Knuckles - Mega Drive
Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Mega Drive
Shenmue - Dreamcast

Plus some others I'm not so sure if I completed within 2010:

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - N64
Star Wing/Star Fox (All Routes) - SNES
Street Fighter 2010 - NES
Super Mario World - SNES

... Star Wing on Route 3 is surely the game that gave me the most trouble. I've since tried to complete Route 3 again but there's one boss I've always found troublesome:

I would have to check the save files, but they all ranged from around ten to fifteen hours. I think Eclessia lasted the longest, or at least it felt that way.

I am not a fan of stealth games, dont like MGS, I have tried the first Splinter Cell game and hated it, this is and amazing game, you dont have to stealth, it just feels like a far more realistic shooter with a great story. Great game, if you like 3rd person shooters this is for you.
