Managed to get myself a bit distracted from my alphabet marathon. I played Miles Edgeworth as a break, and then kinda kept going on DS stuff. I also bought Chrono Trigger on DS the other day, but I haven't beaten that yet.

Tales in a Box is the game that people kept throwing a trailer around of claiming it was the 3DS before the 3DS was shown. Its known in the US as Looksleys Line Up. It was pretty good fun, but the overly sensitive camera meant that I ended up having to keep quite still and tilt the DS rather than my head to look about, meaning it kind of lost its 3D effect a bit. If you don't know about this game, the mission is to tilt the little world in the DS to find hidden images. However, they only appear when you line up objects at just the right angle. Its very clever, and I highly recommend it.

Miles Edgeworth is a great addition to the phoenix wright franchise. The gameplay feels like its what playing phoenix wright should be like. I missed the court scenes, but the cast and gameplay of this was so enjoyable, it may be my favourite in the series. I hope they keep the investigation elements of phoenix wright like this, and then bring back the courtroom scenes for the actual testimonies. Hell, they could even add in the forensics mini games from Apollo Justice and it'd make for a lovely well rounded Ace Attorney game! Atm though, I'm looking forward to the creators next game Ghost Trick. It looks interesting.

The Rub Rabbits was only £3, and as a fan of Project Rub (Feel the Magic XX/XY in the US) I couldnt resist. It's quite short, and easier than the first, and i beat it in one session. However, it was pretty fun. Overall though, I prefer the mini games in the first game, these ones haven't taken me quite as much. Still a good purchase though :)#

One extra note to make: I also beat Pokemon Yellow since I last posted, preparing a team for my alphabet marathon P game, Pokemon Stadium. I havent added it to my list because I want to keep that as only games I've never beaten before, but I thought i'd add it here anyhow.

Although by beating these games, I could technically remove T,R and maybe M from my marathon list (and my overdue C with chrono trigger), the idea was to cut down my backlog. As most of those are new games, I'm gonna not count them as part of my marathon.Next post I should have finished Little Kings Story and Muramasa for my marathon hopefully, and maybe even Chrono Trigger will be added to that. Probably won't be done with Okami by then though. That game goes on forever.

TL;DR: They were all good games and I need to get back to my marathon.

That is right. I've beaten the game a few times before, but I had to beat it again. The graphics, the control, the music, all spectacular. The difficulty? Well...It is difficult.

When I played this game like crazy when I was a kid, I only resorted to using weapons for bosses. I'd punch the ever living shit out of everything else. Well, apparently I'm not the gamer I once was, because I pretty much bataranged everything. Even the easy enemies. I don't know, it seemed like before I tried to add to the difficulty to an already difficult game. I guess it was like Ninja Gaiden, I wanted to be the most badass I could; "Oh you beat Batman? Cool. I've beaten that game countless times, with only my bat-fists".

But, I'll probably try to do that again. The game is just so much fun, and I can't get the music out of my head. It's so awesome, and I'm not surprised bands have been covering it for years.

One thing that is odd. I swear bosses die easier when your health is drained to one block. I had a full life bar, beating the crap out of some Blaster Master looking cube boss, and the sucker wouldn't die, but I did. Next fight my life was drained, and the cubes started to fall like flies. Same thing with the Joker.

Do yourself a favor, play Batman on the NES until you beat it. It won't happen on the first sitting, but eventually you'll be knocking the Joker off a building.

1. Phantasy Star (GBA)
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall Of The Foot Clan (GB)
3. Super Mario Bros. 2 (GBA)
4. OutRun (GBA)

I haven't beat every track in OutRun, but I've made it to the finish line several times now. That counts, right?

PD2Z, however, was an amazing game that I throughly enjoyed. Orta is next on my list, and then I swear I am going to get to some stuff not tied to forum topics!

It has save states.

Your comment made me do a double take on my list. I've beaten pretty tough games this year.

I played mine on some weird option where the game isn't the same as the SNES version. Even some of the bosses are different. Still hard as steel though.

TOTAL: 55

I think I can safely call Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow one of my favorite games of all time. I don't know what it was, but this game just totally sucked me in and kept me interested the entire way through. None of the gameplay ever felt like work to me, which is impressive considering the game requires a bit of backtracking through the castle.

I was going to move on to something that wasn't a Castlevania game next, but I had so much fun with Dawn of Sorrow that I decided to start Portrait of Ruin right away. I'm about three hours in so far and I'm really enjoying it. The dual character dynamic is really interesting, and I really like that they throw so much loot at you in this one. Both of those factors help to keep me from wanting to put the game down. Depending on how much fun I have with this one, I may move on to another franchise for a bit before starting Order of Ecclesia. Kirby is most likely, as I have yet to finish the seemingly impossible Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, and Kirby: Canvas Curse has been begging to be played since I bought it about a year ago.
