Genre hybridization: does the mixing of genres benefit gaming by revealing the further potential of gaming to intermix and evolve in creative ways, harm gaming by blurring the lines of classification in a medium that has always had its genres heavily based around game mechanics as opposed to plot substance, and should genre intermixing be a clear goal for future game developers?
