Punch out for Wii!

Looks fun, but the graphics look kind of old, especially King Hippo, he looks like he comes from the N64. I definitely want to play it but I doubt I'll get a Wii just for this. I wonder what the controls will be like.

I dig cel-shaded graphics, but what worries me is your avatar when he just default-punches opponents. It looks like he just stands in place and all that moves are his arms.

I would have liked to see high definition 2D sprites, that would have been cool.

I would not mind the virtual console if the ''classic'' controller was easier to keep a good grip on, i also think the controllers needs to be scrapped for a new better controller. I am only the person who feels awkward about playing old games on a new(er) console? it feels like to me that I'm so how not getting the authentic experience like how the game was not meant for that system and controller and era of technology and not for this of generation systems.

I hope they support the classic controller, just so the guys at BYOAC will build a new Punchout cab.

Be interesting to see how it is done. I loved the Snes game when it was out, so if it plays a tenth as good as that, it'll be a good game :)

It looks like it's going to be fun. It seems like a good application for the motion control on the wiimote.
If it plays like the boxing stuff on Wii Fit it will be an easy game for anyone to just pick up and love.

this is really exciting! i am glad to see that the game looks like it is going to retain most of its old school feel. i hope they take advantage of the wii controllers and do the game justice. anybody know a release date???

As long as there's no 'waggle', I'll be happy.

Man, I hate that word.
