I just came across this new interview.

a few key points: more action oriented, no motion controls(uses classic controller), and no planting seeds. All good things in my book.
Screens from the new vanillaware game! OH MY GOD!!!!!1
Re: Screens from the new vanillaware game! OH MY GOD!!!!!1
It looks nice, but still has the kinda stiff floating character aspect that kinda drove me nuts on Odin Shpere. I'd like to try it out before I bought it. Glad to see a new interview...so maybe it'll actually come out.

It's been a while since I've been blown away by graphics in a game. But when I saw this in Nintendo Power, this nearly happened:

Wow, the combat looks a lot more fluid than Odin Sphere did. A little disappointing that there's no branching pathes, but that might just be a function of it being a demo.

Yeah i was thinking that too. But all in all it looks like i may need to finally purchase a wii
Re: Screens from the new vanillaware game! OH MY GOD!!!!!1
This should just be another reason to pick up a Wii. There's more than enough titles on all the new consoles to keep just about any gamer occupied. Pick up Super Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario, Castle of Shikigami III, Ultimate Shooting Collection, and Wario Land Shake It! while you're waiting. May as well download a few titles like Sin & Punishment while you're at it. Buy a mod chip!
Hopefully, when you're done, this game will be out.

Looks like a bunch of linked set-pieces, rather than a scrolling progression with a steady flow of enemies. Environments look amazing. All-in-all, looks damn cool.

This is definitely a step in the right direction. Nice to see the developers looking past all the exaggerated praise that Odin Sphere got from pretentious critics and are actually addressing the complaints that many players had with the gameplay, like the repeated bosses and that stupid seed system
