You clearly need friends with more sophisticated tastes in games.

Solid line up. I would have swapped out a few games, but there’re a lot of heavy hitters there. There also isn’t that much overlap with the Japanese version, making it tenpting to get both versions.

Actually, the wording of the articles makes it sound like the units will have US and JPN titles, with only a couple titles swapped out between regions.

^ That's the impression I got. The article I read said that some of the titles wouldn't be translated, which definitely gives the impression that we're getting both. I'm not 100% sure right now, but with an implied $100 price tag, I'll lean towards both. But who knows.

Either way I'm pleased with the lineups.

Somehow or another I got the impression that you can switch the region of your turbographx mini thereby unlocking the games from the other region. That's just something I heard online, so take it as third party hearsay.

Here's a quote from the Kotaku article, which I'll like below the quote:

The game library will be almost identical across all three systems, including 24 American versions of games and 26 Japanese versions. There is a little bit of overlap between the two—for example, both the U.S. and Japanese versions of the action RPG Neutopia are included. That means it’s not quite 50 games total, but it’s still a rich lineup, which even includes CD-ROM games and some games from the Japanese SuperGrafx system.

Note that Rondo of Blood, Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire, the best home port of Ghouls and Ghosts, and Gradius II are included in that lineup. You get Bonk's Revenge in English and Bonk's Adventure (PC Genjin) in Japanese.

There are a couple "Huh?" titles, like Appare! Gateball and Ninja Ryukenden (a good game, but with really janky second-layer scrolling), and some cases where they should really have gone with the sequel instead, like Super Darius II instead of Super Darius or Devil's Crush instead of Alien Crush. I am also lamenting the lack of Gate of Thunder and Ys III. But there are also a ton of really good titles on this list. With 2 controllers this will, I think, ultimately be worth the likely $100 price tag, at least for many.

Woah.

A combined line up makes this a must buy.

Yup, the article I read this morning updated its language to be more clear. We are getting all the games listed. I've been on the road most of the day so I missed the correction until now. Sorry for the confusion.

I'm definitely getting one of these so long as the emulation isn't complete garbage. That's a great lineup.
