Probably going for the PT Barnum school of economics. A sucker is born every minute.
The only way this would make sense is if it were a perfect hardware clone that supported all the way up to GBC. And even then, how much would a GBA SP set you back, and give you a front (or back) light and GBA on top of all that? $100 is way too steep.
Even if it is a hardware clone, I question whether it would turn out any better than the GB Boy Colour.
I mean having hardware that looks like the old tech is semi nostalgic, but at the same time I have a Gameboy Advanced SP and a Gamecube Gameboy Player. So not sure who they're trying to sell it to if it just does Gameboy/Gameboy Color. Now if it could also play Game Gear games like prfsnl_gmr said, then I might be interested and even try to find a Master Adapter. But as it stands, I think there's already plenty of ways to play Gameboy/Color games as it is
It's not gonna have anything but GameBoy, I'm pretty sure, which means it's not particularly useful. Hyperkin needs to start making better products instead of focusing so much on packaging.
