Nice read. I too love this ROM. I love the purple background in the Chemical Plant Zone and wish they would have stuck with that too.

I didnt know the Android version of Sonic 2 had the Hidden Zone in it. Thats awesome.

This was my first experience with prototypes and really opened my eyes to how much games go through from their initial design to the final product. It really made me more interested in the whole process of game design.

Speaking of which, do you feel that prototypes of a game now released gives incite into the changes a game made. Even if you aren't able to play it, I feel it puts things into perspective and is a facet gamers need to see now, thanks to, "Early Access," programs.

It does, even if you can only speculate on why certain changes were made.
