The classic retro game raiden is bringing another instalment, Raiden IV. UFO interactive games is behind this one. They were the ones that did raiden III back on the PS2.

this has been going around for awhile. Totally psyched can't wait to pick it up (hopefully it has a good price to!)

This came out last year...

If this company, UFO Interactive games, is releasing Raiden IV overseas, they mearly have the rights to publish it. They didn't make it at all.

i see your point that they do have the rights to publish it in the U.S. now that i look more closely at it, Moss is the developer.

but.. Way of the Samurai is not shovelware!
most their games are shooters too. Im into shooters so i dont consider them shovelware.

But seriously, old news like this is still good news. I'm not a huge fan of the Raiden series, but I'll always support a US release of a shmup (or any underappreciated genre) so long as the game isn't horrible.

Take a look at their games for all systems. The vast majority of their games are definitely not shooters. Pure shovelware, aside from a few titles.

if it werent for UFO interactive games publishing Raiden IV in the US, we would never see it. And i dont have a japanese xbox so i would have never been able to play it. i give props to UFO for supporting Raiden IV.
