Re: Together Retro June 2019 poll
I plan to play one of the Super Famicom Fire Emblem games and Mother 3, but I have so many suitable games I haven’t played yet:
Famicom:
Fire emblem gaidenw
Super famicom:
Fire emblem monsho no nazo
Fire emblem seisen no keifu
Fire emblem Thracia 776
Wonder Project J
Seiken densetsu 3
N64:
Custom Robo
Animal forest
Wonder project j2
Densha de go
Bomberman 64
DS:
Game Center CX 2
Gyakuten kenji 2
Ripened tingles balloon trip of love
Love plus
I also have played a few before. I particularly heartily recommend people give Joy Mexha Fight for Famicom, and Marvelous: Another Treasure Island for Super Famicom a go, as they are excellent and interesting games
Another one I’ve been curious to try is the Game Gear version of Madou Monogatari 1

Serious question: how many of you are planning to play Bahamut Lagoon? Because if you haven't, you should.
Also, fun fact about Live A Live, it had two translations that I am aware of. The initial was the ROM that floated around for years, then it was eventually updated. Also fun fact. Ziggy in a past life made repros. My repro of Live A Live is one of his works, and it's the only one I will ever own. Even after getting out of the repro game, he offered to update it for me. I turned him down because I like that it represents the way I originally played it as well as his hard work at the time. Ziggy, you're a champ.

I got a copy of Bahamit Lagoon in the mail yesterday. (Summer games challenge, maybe?). Shadow Tower Abyss is a definite for me, but I could try Bahsmut Lagoon too. I’m trying to run the Kung Fu series; so, I may give Spartan X-2 a go too.

Looks like fan translations might win?
I think I will go off the beaten path here. Instead of my usual Famicom and Super Famicom picks I may go for some fan-translated PCE games. Here's what I own:
Bikkuriman World
Blue Blink
Maison Ikkoku (technically in transit to my house)
Makai Hakkenden Shada (just beat it)
Shiryou Sensen: War of the Dead
Valkyrie no Densetsu
Xak III: The Eternal Recurrence
Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys (beaten already in its original Japanese, though I'm really curious about that latest fan dub)
Any thoughts?
Nice. I could go for that too.

Have you heard me rave about Xak I & II on PCE? Literally one of the best games ever.

Exactly, hence why I want you to go on to the third. I want to know if you find it holds up.
Re: Together Retro June 2019 poll
My vote is for you to do anything but Ys IV, just so it will sit there and taunt you.

I typed this on my phone while jet lagged. Cut me some slack! (Henceforth, it’s Basmati Language.)
Also...go with Bikkuriman World. It’s a neat Wonder Boy port, and you can knock it out in an afternoon.
