I'd be willing to give another Month for next year. I'd also be willing to sit out as well, so if we have more than 12, I would bow out.

This is a great idea! Just because a category looses doesn't mean it was bad. We only have so many categories, so reusing them is not a bad idea.

Another idea would be that you cannot change your votes. That seems to have worked out well in the past few months, so why not make that part of the rules? It would stop the swaying of opinions and have people vote more honestly.

I think that's a reasonable policy. Even with vote changing there's going to be someone who just doesn't have a game that fits in that category, so forcing people to make honest choices seems best.

I want to do one, closer to the end of 2019 if possible, but not one of the more iconic months like October. I still have my lists made from earlier this year that I spit balled with the slack folks.

Updated the first page, let me know if I missed anything!

My vote would be that we let this thread run until December and then make some decisions in the 1st week about who will be when - we theoretically need to have January's host chosen by the 1st week of December so that they can run their poll!

I am all for having fresh blood host the months. But I'd be up to host another if I was needed.

I'd be willing to curate for January. At least I'd know that I could commit some time to it, then. Not sure if people would be okay with me actually killing off participation that quickly, though--I'd pretty much be forcing everyone to play things that a lot of people here generally wouldn't otherwise, with much more succinct categories. (Ex. one of the categories would absolutely be "Games that start with, 'Shenmue-.'")

But of course.
The only challenge would be what three to four other traps choices to put with it in order to funnel all of the votes into it.
